Savlonic, the animated band working with the minds behind Mr Weebl and Weebl Stuff are looking to fund the creation of their 2nd album featuring 10 ALL NEW tracks and including animated music videos.
The band has found a more sophisticated sound this time around, inspired by the music of the 80's melded with the possibilities of the present, a style known as Retrowave, Synthwave or Outrun.
As before with our previous album, Red, we want to produce physical versions of the album with beautiful artwork. There will be digital downloads too along with the CD, Coloured Vinyl and Picture Disc versions.
Included with the projects backing goal will be the creation of an animated music video based on one of the tracks from the new Album.
If our initial goals are met then we want to pour the extra funds into making additional music videos for the other tracks on the album. These would be animated by other independent animators we love and respect, directed by the band. Animation is obviously very expensive so your help is desperately needed to make these extra videos a reality.
Here's a teaser of some of the tracks. Please note that the audio is not finished or mastered.
Here's a few of our previous music videos to give you an idea of what we're about all in one handy playlist.
Stretch Goal at 40K
If we can get to £40,000 we are aiming to make a 10 minute video playing through the story of the album. Yes. The album tells a tale throughout the 10 tracks but we will not be revealing what it is just yet. You'll have to wait and see.
£50,000 Stretch Goal
A half hour, epic animated retelling of the story. That's pretty much a solid short film all about Savlonic and their tale. Can we make it? That is up to you.
Risks and challenges
This is our 2nd album launch via Kickstarter and we feel we have a better grasp on the project as a result. The main hurdle this time around is the recording of the 10 all new tracks. This is well under-way though with most worked up in demo form already. We've had many discussions with distributors to make sure that deliveries of rewards go as smoothly as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
