Whew! Finally home and settling back in after Gen Con...what a CRAZY and AMAZING last few days we had there! I was hearing great things about the game all over the convention, saw folks carrying base sets and cracking them open here and there...only issue it seems HBS had was keeping enough boards open for folks to demo, there was so much interest!

And OH. MY. GOSH! The living lore has begun...the Kickstarter events have started progressing the story, and it sounds like Jordan and the team are planning to get a batch of lore-affecting scenarios out around October! *crosses fingers*

      Hoi Sirs!

For those Knights who are joining us along the way, here are some links of interest and info you might find useful!

Pictures have been floating up from GenCon with some of the terrain hand-painted painted by Jordan. Lookin pretty snazzy there ^_^

...and perhaps not as exciting for everyone else, but from last night, my rewards came in!

Having a little fun playing with my new Golems, before I have even more fun, playing Golem Arcana, with my new Golems! ^_^

And this Chummer (Awesome award winning Shadowrun author Jennifer Brozek) grabbed a shot of the GolemArcana booth setup before all the madness started. Thanks, omae!

Here are some wonderful @GolemArcana closeups on #GooglePlus from fellow Knight, Jeremy Morin!https://plus.google.com/u/0/110974750884789383068/posts/8mNik4DQgB9

As well as a few brief unboxing vids! https://t.co/uBhzuFYn33

And finally, some Golem unpacking advice:

      1) If you don't want to tear the box flaps on some of the packaging, after cutting or peeling back the tape, use a putty/spackling knife or non-serrated butter knife, or other thin flat implement, to slide under the flap and ease it up from underneath, towards the middle, near were the lip slips in to the box. This might not be an issue for everyone, but I don't like to create strong creases or break the flaps, and it's very easy to do with a couple of the boxes.

      2) The Golems are set in protective plastic coffins (*chuckle*). There are "bumps" in the plastic that keep them in place. To not break your golem, *push the bumps out with your fingers* and then push (or scqueeze) the golem base out from behind with one hand, while pulling it from the front with the other, being careful to properly angle and wriggle the delicate Golem bits out of the packaging.

DON'T PULL THE GOLEMS OUT BY THE BODY OF THE FIGURE. You risk breaking something. Use the base to remove them by wiggling careful as you apply required force, AFTER you've pushed the retaining bumps in the plastic outward, allowing the Golems to more easily come out of the packaging.

Hopefully this helps someone from having to use superglue ^_^

Also note, packaging is packaging. It's there to protect the contents, not make it easy for us to remove said contents. Some packaging designs are better than others, but packaging is usually designed to be disposable (despite us often wanting to preserve it).

I'm saying this because, it's not HBS's fault if you break a Golem trying to be too careful with the packaging. You could have just cut the packaging away from the Golem instead of trying to save the plastic encasing. Though, with the advice above, hopefully you can save both if that's what you want to do!

      #PreemptiveResponse ;)

Was a blast working the HBS today. Great folks. Enjoyed spreading the word about this great game. Many positive comments on the app being the GM...finally no more looking up and arguing about rules...now how do I plant a virus so I always win....Hahaha

I hope everybody attending has a lot of fun and the game is a success.
      Looking forward to play it.
It seems I would have to buy a tablet, after all. 8-)

@Joshua That's totally AWESOME! Have a total BLAST at GenCon, and thank you Sir for the update! Keep 'em coming if you can! (But hey, it's GenCon, have fun and don't worry about us folk, ya'hear?) ^_^

Spent some time at the booth this morning and it's a ton of fun... Jordan's terrain is super cool, they're demoing some unreleased scenarios which look like fun, and the buzz around the booth is really great. I've heard a lot of very positive things being said between friends while they watch the demos.
Everyone should be super proud of what's been done with this KS. For a project that made it just over the goal in the final hours, they've really made great use of the funding and have produced a great game. Here's hoping the momentum continues all weekend! (Though the HBS crew is gonna be a wreck, heh - no sleep 'til Seattle!)

I really wish I was at GenCon... After I already decided I wouldn't be going (IE after I turned down volunteering to run Shadowrun games) they started announcing all these guests and such which I wanted to see!

Those of you who are there (HBS staff included) have fun!
