Stuck Between a Rock and a Hard Place in the US
As many of you know, we use Amazon’s fulfillment centers to ship backer rewards within the US. When Wave 1 went out last August, we experienced a relatively fast turn-around from when an order was submitted to boxes leaving warehouses.
Unfortunately, that has not been the case with the Wave 2 rewards. It’s been over 2 weeks since submitting the initial orders and almost all those shipments show they are still in “planning”. We contacted Amazon Support who told us they are aware of the problem and that they are working to fix it. Below is their response in full:
Our fulfillment centers are experiencing temporary delays. We recognize that many sellers are concerned about these delays, which come at a critical time in the holiday selling period. We share your sense of urgency and are actively working to reduce these delays so that your items are available for to customers as quickly as possible. No action is necessary on your part to expedite receiving of your shipments.
Please do not worry,there is no issue with your account. We are currently experiencing a backlog with all the orders, it is a known situation so please note that your account will not be affected for it.
We are committed to ensuring your products are received and made available to customers quickly, and we are working to resolve these delays as soon as we can. We apologize for this disruption to your business.
In an effort to get these Golems into your hands despite this issue, we looked into a number of shipping alternatives but they have turned out to be either cost-prohibitive or unavailable at this late date so close to the holidays. Unfortunately, our only viable option is to wait for Amazon to process the orders.
What to Expect
Just as with Wave 1, Amazon very often ships rewards (large and small) from multiple different warehouses. Over the past week, I’ve started to see a couple dozen >partial< shipments dribbling out the door. So if you get just one box and nothing else right away -- DON’T WORRY. Your entire bundle of rewards was submitted at the same time, but Amazon may not ship them all in the same box, and with the delays we’re experiencing, there may be a longer wait between boxes.
HBS will be closed all next week for Thanksgiving but I will be staying on top of this situation. Read the COMMENTS thread here on Kickstarter.com for any future news / updates. Hopefully, the wheels at Amazon will begin turning again shortly and Golems will start arriving on your doorstep.
Promo Relics and Valkali Cards
Two last things that I didn't mention in the previous update.
If you've been following our Comments thread and Updates, you know that we printed 5 promotional relics that our Emissaries have been giving out at Demos Events and Conventions. When we manufactured Wave 2, we also printed a new batch of these Relics to be sent to Backers, so you'd have a copy without having to hunt them down at events or eBay.
Because it's not easy for Amazon to process such small items, we've opted to mail you these cards through the postal service. So even if you already got all your rewards from Wave 1, you'll still be receiving a little something from us for the Holidays.
And if you are receiving a Valkali Colossus in Wave 2, this packet will also include all of the Valkali's Golem cards and Relics. When we manufactured her, we hadn't finished the design yet so we couldn't print the cards. So we wrapped up the Kickstarter boxes of the Valkali without the cards and printed them at a later date.

- Canada is still in a planning / packing stage, but the goods are in Ontario and being organized
