OBJECTIVE COMPLETE: Stage 4 - PVP Multiplayer Unlocked!
Wow! In just over a month, you have managed to fund ALL of the features and content in our BATTLETECH Kickstarter Campaign.
Congratulations on this tremendous achievement!
So what happens now that the project has passed $2,500,000? Will we add additional funding goals and make the game even larger in scope?
No.
As we said in our first Live Stream Twitch Q&A session, after Stage 4 is unlocked, additional funding will go towards polishing the features and content we’ve already committed to. After that, any additional funds will go toward funding a Post-Launch Live Team that will continue developing additional features and content. First among them will be Cooperative Multiplayer, which will allow you and a friend to face-off against AI opponents.
So, in the time remaining, please help get the word out to new people who haven’t backed the project yet! They still have the chance to get the game for only $25 and the whole community will benefit from their early faith in the project.
Here’s what you can do to help:
1. Like, Share, and Retweet this video recapping our Kickstarter campaign for new folks.
2. Take and share our “Which ‘Mech Are You?” quiz and post the results on Facebook and Twitter!
Thanks again for your support and don’t forget to join us LIVE at 6pm GMT / 11am Pacific time for our last Q&A session of the campaign!
Oh, and this time, we’ll also be taking your questions on Twitter at #BTdrunkstream, too!

House Davion, don't worry, I will be there soon to kill your enemies!
Can't wait to get all those sourcebooks.

now let us stride forth as a atlas and leave everything in smoldering ruins behind us! <3

Dooley cameo, IMO.

Congratulations on a successful kickstarter!
If no one's already voiced it, please please PLEASE bring George Ledoux in to reprise his role as Duncan Fisher for S7. That would be mind-blowingly awesome.
Greg Hallock on November 3, 2015
Looks like a good start to the game! I hope this funds the game I've always wanted (Which is a worthy successor to Crescent Hawks Inception.) I do hope you are able to come up with Co-op PVE, as that is my single greatest desire for such a game.
Parker Huellmantel on November 3, 2015
Congrats on the amazing kickstarters!
Rob Martin on November 3, 2015
Congrats to the HBS and to the Battletech Community! We came together in a strong show of support. We all should be very proud!
Matthew Eustace on November 3, 2015
I'm very happy this made it through all its stretch goals. It's going to be a long, long wait, but Mitch loves us (as the old cheat code once said!), so I'm willing to wait.
What I do hope though is that you use any funds above that last stretch goal to add more 'Mechs to the game. Every BTech game, no matter how good, has always struggled when it came to the amount of 'Mechs. Even my fav BTech game of all time, MechCommander, which I've been replaying this past few days for the first time in 5+ years, suffers from only having a tiny scattering of 'Mechs.
TRO:3025 had 55 'Mechs in it. This game is set in 3025. Wouldn't it be amazing to get as many 'Mechs from that book in the game as possible? Not as a stretch goal, not as a "If we hit X we will do Y more 'Mechs" - nothing concrete - but just, perhaps, an effort to throw a few more in there.

Thank you all for your kind messages. The team appreciates them very much.

Congratulations, HBS!!! My head hurts, because I was drinking with you. Fortunately, I don't have to work until tomorrow. I'm glad the community's desire for a cooperative mode has not fallen on deaf ears, and I hope we can actually get there. I've shared and answered and quizzed everything you've put before me -except for the Halloween costume or pumpkin contest-, and I'm ready for anything else you might have for us to do.
Michael Engard on November 2, 2015
Also, congratulations. :)
Michael Engard on November 2, 2015
Adding my support for co-op multiplayer, if there are enough resources to do it well. I know several members of my gaming group who I think would be persuaded to pick this up if we could play cooperatively.
Joachim Seilo on November 2, 2015
Congratulations HBS and all of us! Now when can I get my hands on this! :)
Good luck with the development!
Michaeljack on November 2, 2015
Really glad you guys are not adding new stretch goals. Much better to spend that money polishing than overextend yourselves.
Congrats on the best HBS campaign yet!
Karl Malm on November 2, 2015
Are there any links available for the twitch? Can't seem to find it at the moment.
Cyrus McEnnis on November 2, 2015
I'd be so interested in co-op campaign mode. Logistically I don't know that it'll be worth doing, but it's certainly something I'd love.
On the other hand - you had me at "Turn-based Battletech computer game" so it's not like you'll get any more money from me including this feature : )
Ber on November 2, 2015
Multiplayer Co-op sounds awesome. However, as far as extra features go, you can't get much bigger than co-op campaign. It affects everything, it needs new: UI, engine capabilities, story, design considerations, audio. It'd be more suited to being an additional kickstarter and/or sequel than a stretch goal.

Will we have a "mission accomplished" livestream? Please select the answer below:
Option 1: Yes.
Option 2: YES.
Danny Diep on November 2, 2015
Ohhh a multiplayer co-op campaign mode for sure! like the person below said!

Definitely a multiplayer co-op campaign mode!
Gorreci on November 2, 2015
I think with the technology to implement a multiplayer PvP mode, I think down the line HBS should look into a multiplayer co-op campaign. There aren't enough co-op turn-based games out there, and I think it would be a pretty cool addition. Or at least a multiplayer comp-stomp skirmish mode.
Joey Blade on November 2, 2015
@Steffen Reinke I am right there with you. When I saw PVP goal I Figured that when we hit PVP this would also cover coop pvp like 2v2, 3v3 etc. Now they are saying the rest of the funding goes to fine tuning... worrisome
Joey Blade on November 2, 2015
Coop and PVP is what BT is about!!! we need 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 for pvp and this will satisfy Coop and PVP people's needs
Jeff Anderson on November 2, 2015
Congratulations!
John Kowalczyk on November 2, 2015
Please, please, please try to fit co-op against the AI in!!! I have friends who will only buy games that include this and it would be amazing to have a Saturday gaming session where I could team up with friends to take down legendary mechs and mechwarriors together and then recount the battles!
Josh Bashor on November 2, 2015
I also would like coop multiplayer. Shoot I'de rather coop over pvp. Please add coop.
Joshua Castleman on November 2, 2015
Co-op = Yes, please! That would be so much fun!
Steffen Reinke on November 2, 2015
After the past couple days, not a big surprise to see Stage 4 funded as well. Still, congrats and yay!
I'm curious at which amount of funding we can actually begin to *expect* co-operative gameplay, though. Perhaps I'm worrying too much, but the fact that an undisclosed amount of fine-tuning is shoved between PvP and Co-Op multiplayer makes it sound somewhat noncommittal.
Mike Oliver on November 2, 2015
Whoo! Congrats. Full funding, good job guys
Mark E Cooper Author on November 2, 2015
Oh thank God PVP got in!
Lambert on November 2, 2015
Hello great wizards from Harebrained Schemes.
Congratulations on the full funding. I hope that we overshoot the target sufficiently that you guys can add co op into the initial development plan.
Even if you can't please in good time let us know when it might be coming. For example in a Mechwarrior Directors Cut.
Aaron Howe on November 2, 2015
Yesssss! PvP multiplayer! This is what I was really hoping would happen. I'm super excited.
Patrick Sherman on November 2, 2015
Hey, Harebrained! Very excited at you having achieved all of the funding levels for this project -- looking forward to receiving my swag and REALLY looking forward to playing the game. However, I'm especially excited about the idea of teaming up with friends to fight an AI opponent -- I wish that was another goal under PvP Multiplayer. Please aim to implement it as soon as possible... Looking forward to being a part of this project as it develops!
Jan Haluza on November 2, 2015
@Geomancer What are these calculations, some kind of wizardry? Aren't you one of those ComStar agents?
Joking aside, thanks a lot. ;)
Jeff Kaplan on November 2, 2015
Technically there aren't stretch goals, but if you read the explanation listed, it specifically says that a 'post' funding goal will be co-op, which I always like. That could have been a stretch goal, but they've elected to leave it as a post funding goal, to demonstrate IMHO that they aren't out for just the bucks, but for providing a polished, well rounded gaming experience. I appreciate any labor of love when it's a game by gamers for gamers! I'd play any house co-op with these guys. Great work!

I'm pretty sure my Thunderclap already went off. What is this crazyness?
rattensuppe on November 2, 2015
The pledge was never (not yet) above 2.5mil. but if you add the 60k paypal donations to the 2.48mil pledge, you end up with 2.5mil, hence the funding of the last stage.

Doh! The pledged cash has dropped below 2.5 mil. I guess some folk pledged up in the hope there would be more free stuff after Stage 4. I'm more than happy for there to be no further stretch goals, but some folk always seem to want MOAR!!! I hope we get Co-op somewhere down the road, but I was happy at Stage 1 funded and ecstatic at Stage 2 funded. All the best you Hairbrains.
Kesava Hart on November 2, 2015
Congrats Harebrained! I cannot wait to get the chance to jump into the roll of Commander and start tearing up the battlefield.
Damian Miller on November 2, 2015
woot! this hopes to be awesome. been playing since battledroids. i won the 1986 LA Origins Battletech Tournament, and have run convention games for over 30 years, damn i'm old, but i LOVE this game, thanks for a chance to play at home and with friends. please consider the whitworth for a future add on mech, it rocks.
Jeffrey Gordon on November 2, 2015
Just if you're feeling gratuitous: a ComStar "House" banner option would be AWESOME!
Alex Clarke on November 2, 2015
I too applaud your resolve not to add more stretch goals. You have your hands full, and by sticking to your guns and staying with what you stated from day 1, you have shown commitment to your word, which is appreciated. I would rather the extra funding go towards more staff on the project, or future content to be patched in, or even some basic ground work for the sequel then to see this project get promises that could very well fall short. Keep the faith, and the money will follow ;)

Since the graphic (and text!) with the start time of the stream is obviously wrong, if the stream is to start at 11 o'clock local time (HBS studio is in PST/UTC-08:00), check your local time at https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html…
In any case: UTC should be 19 o'clock, not 18 o'clock!

I dig it. Better than content bloat and promising more than you can manage.
