Patrol is a team of storytellers and artists producing fiction and non-fiction books inspired by the Bible. We’re seeking to raise money for our next wave of vibrantly illustrated, gospel-centered books — because we are deeply passionate about telling stories.
We believe that a love for stories is actually part of what it means to be human — it was no accident that God gave us imaginations! Jesus himself told stories as a way to communicate effectively with his listeners, telling parables to illustrate the reality of the kingdom of God.
If Jesus used stories to communicate truth, we should too. That's why we want to make visually engaging stories — in the form of children’s books, graphic novels, Bible studies, biographies, and more — which reflect the greatest story: the ultimate narrative of God, humanity, and the world as revealed in the Bible.
Patrol has been around for 20 months, and thankfully, in that short period of time we’ve been able to put out three books! Golly’s Folly is a fun read-aloud experience for kids and adults, and features a message drawn from the biblical book of Ecclesiastes.
Little Francis Falls Asleep is a charming bedtime story about the search for true rest — a rest which is found only in God himself. And LUTHER: A Visual Book gives an overview of Martin Luther’s life and legacy—and why it still matters today.
Thanks to your gracious support, we've hit our initial $19K Kickstarter goal — but the party's not over yet! We’ve got some special bonus rewards to give all our supporters if we hit the following benchmarks:
$35K Stretch Goal
Every Kickstarter backer will receive a free digital copy of The Moonman Cometh audiobook, which will be released in November. We’re stoked to share this wonderful Christmas tale in the full audiobook treatment — complete with original music, narration, and sound effects (retail cost: $20).
40K Stretch Goal
Every Kickstarter backer will receive digital audiobooks of the Kids and Parents versions of The Gospel in Color, which will be released this fall! These audiobooks will be an engaging way for families to listen and learn about race, racism, and reconciliation through a gospel lens — and may prove especially helpful for kids who aren’t naturally big readers (retail cost: $20).
We’re seeking to raise funds so that we can produce and print the next wave of stories we want to tell, including:
Racism is a very real issue which every child will encounter sooner or later. That's why The Gospel in Color — For Parents and its companion The Gospel in Color — For Kids are designed to equip parents and kids have helpful, honest conversations on this vital topics. Through rich illustrations and approachable text, both books convey big ideas in an engaging, gospel-centered way.

The Moonman Cometh is a children’s Christmas fantasy unlike any other, vividly told with rich illustrations and an engaging narrative. This book depicts the story of a boy and his dog as they seek to save their dying Christmas tree farm.

Risks and challenges
Printing books requires a tremendous amount of effort and a lot of resources, but we've successfully completed several projects now. We have a dedicated team which is poised to get these projects out the door, and we're confident that we'll be able to follow through on all we've promised.
This is a low-risk project. Our chosen printer has been working with us for the past 20 months, so we're familiar with the entire process and know how to get things completed smoothly and with excellence.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
