Just got my order in today. Can't wait to go through the contents.
Hi @Alfonso, please send me a direct message or an email (jam at wastedtalent dot ca). I checked on your order and we're still waiting on a shipping address from you. I have your order right here, ready to ship out as soon as I have that info :)
Hi Jam! Same here, haven't received the books yet, they're shipping to Mexico City. Just wanted to check if everything is alright :). Cheers!
Hi @Richard Rutowski, thanks for sending me a direct message! We will get it resolved as soon :)
Sadly, I have not received my order yet. Here's to being hopeful for soon.
Just got mine in the mail today - everything looks fantastic!:)
Hi @Christopher Lorenz, I'm so sorry the post was rough with your book! :( Send me an email and we'll get it sorted out - jam @ wastedtalent . ca
Hi @Patrick Connors! There is a how-to video for the box here :)
Glad they arrived!
Never mind; I found pictures of the assembled slipcases at Jam's Twitter. Thanks again!
Got my books and goodies today! Loooks great!
But how do I assemble the slipcase?
I got my books (and all my other things!) today! They are so beautiful and well made, I can't wait to read through your comic again ^_^
They caaame :D
I just got the books today and they look better than they did when I read them on your webcomic. All the red in book 1 is really nice. :D
The only bad part is the corners of book 4 got a bit mangled in transit it seems, that poor 'K' in Melick. :(
I got the books, box, and associated swag today, and I'm looking forward to re-reading the whole run, plus the anthologies Jam contributed to. Thanks for a decade plus of clever, funny shenanigans and best of luck in your new adventures.
I got the books today and I love them! I can't wait to reunite the box and books 4 and 5 with the others I have in my parents house in Vancouver. I am so sad to see the end of this comic, but I'm glad that you got to end it the way you wanted and with such a beautiful set of books!
My books were delivered today. They are awesome and the shiny bits on the cover are a nice added touch.
Thank you :)
Hi Scruffy! I unfortunately cannot guarantee that it will arrive before mid-may. I'm getting an update tomorrow on shipping timelines, but not knowing when your order will be packed, I think it's probably safer to direct it to your destination address (if you have it).
Hello, I hate to be one of those "when will it ship" people, but I will be moving to the other side of my state at the end of May. Do you think that the complete box set will arrive in mid-May? Otherwise I will need to change the Backerkit shipping address before it gets locked. Thanks a bunch.
Hi Israel, the ebooks will be shipped earlier! When you answer the survey there will be a link to the downloads.
The ebooks will be shipped at same time than physical books?
Hi Molly, the answer at this point is "probably no", but please send me a message when I have them in hand (eta: end of January).
Congratulations!! My husband will love his Christmas present. I'll print out the confirmation email and put it under the tree. ;-) Can't wait 'til April!
Wooo you crushed your goal!!!
Woah I almost missed the campaign! Pledged in the last 2 minutes :D
I love the Cloudsie pin but I pledged for a complete set of books because that's what I want most. I'd assume that we won't be able to get Cloudsie as an add-on since it's linked to the specific pledge levels but I figured I'd ask - will it be possible to get a Cloudsie as an add-on?

What's great in looks,
Holds five awesome books,
And keeps them all safe as locks?
You fold it yourself,
It sits on your shelf,
It's box, box, box!
It's box, box,
It's hollow, cardboard, and ink.
It's box, box,
It's better than best, we think.
Everyone wants a box,
You're gonna love it, box.
Come on and get your box,
Everyone needs a box.
(Wants a box,
Love it, box.)
Box. From Jammy.
Awesome Possum.. I didn't have the other books(was unaware of their existance! Somehow I missed them over the last "just under a decade" of reading. Well I'll have them all in physical form now. Mwahahaha.
pledged the Complete Wasted Talent wave 2
Someday if the opportunity arrives hopefully can get them signed, so they can go in my signed book collection in my library.
Such excellent works.
And there we go... There will be boxes too. =)
Jam, it's been a ride. Followed your comic almost since the beginning - I was introduced to your work from some of your World of Warcraft jokes. Wasted Talent has not left active rotation in my reading since.
Good luck in your future endeavors; so long, and thanks for all the fish.
Excited to stumble upon your project. I first "met" you through Twitter as EngineersHumor (now run by someone else). Great to see your Success. Keep it up!
It is a real shame to see the end of WT, which has been a constance source of humour and distraction right through my PhD, post-docs, first and now onto my second job. Thank you for all those drawings, and all the best for the future (+ to Trevor).
UPDATE to previous comment: I will now reprint book 1! So if you want one you can definitely get one, but only by preordering it (either back a "complete" tier or add + $20 to your pledge for book 1.)
Hi @Alex Lilley! Thanks so much for reading!! The shortage is for Book One ONLY. I'm actively working to confirm the number that I have available and if I CAN raise that tier I will.
There are, however, LOTS of books 2 and 3 still. You can add those with a $25/bk addition to your pledge (just confirmed signup with BackerKit which is how we will manage those add ons :) )
Sad to see the autobiography come to a close! I've enjoyed reading this for years, it helped me get through my final year of university. For the physical book tier; the option for all five books is unavailable at this time; is this due to shortage of the original three books? If that is not the case then, will the physical books be able to be added as add-ons?
Duh, I'm confusing my pledges! --A, how bout a sketch of an obsessive newbie? LOL
Hey Jess! How about a sketch of an obsessive newbie? Lol
Dang, another great comic I enjoy coming to an end. Since I started reading I've gone from being a visual fx artist in the game industry to a mechanical design for the semiconductor cleaning equipment industry. While I don't have the technical education you have (something I'm very envious of at this point in my life), it's been fun reading about your transition to your career.
Looking forward to seeing what new coolness you create, please put a *big* banner on the WT site when you've got something new and awesome to share with us!
Re: (comics after WT) It's not that easy to get rid of me!!! >:D muahaha
Well she isn't leaving, didn't Jam say she is going to create other comics after Wasted Talent? So she isn't really leaving us!! :)
Nooooooo! The kickstarter went live while everyone here in Japan was asleep, and by the time 7:00am rolled around here, all the Extreme Editions were gone :(
Your comic is what introduced me to the world of web comics many years ago. Thank you so much for sharing your stories with us. It has been a joy and I wish you all the best going forward.
Truly happy to be a part of this and have the opportunity to complete my collection. I showed up a little late to the party and miss the chance to get Extreme Underwater Basket Weaving edition again. A little bummed, but I will manage. Really love the comic and appreciate you sharing your journey these last 10 years with all of us.
NOOO DON'T GOOOOOO!
Welp, it's been a good ride... glad to be here at the end!
