It All Began One Summer A Long, Long Time Ago...
The Black Suit of Death all began as a no-budget home movie - a parody of the major motion picture, Scream. Out of that satire an original character was born and soon another no-budget "film" was created, thus Black Suit of Death was born! ...the home movie remaining unfinished to this day.
20 years later...
Edward Ellsworth & Benjamin J. Kreger co-created and wrote a comic book based on the character, and released the prelude book, The Black Suit of Death: Ides of March, at the 2011 Emerald City ComiCon. They both felt that the book may be too strange for a general audience, thankfully people loved it! However, it would take almost five years, and two Kickstarters before the series Ides of March began could be realized. Happily, one year ago, The Black Suit of Death succeeded in raising funds via Kickstarter and issue #1 finally materialized!

All caught up? Groovy!
If you haven't guessed, it'll be those party-goers you see above (Page 8 Panel 2) who get the ax, or rather scythe, and should you choose the Cameo Reward, it'll be your face on one of those ill fated party-goers!

Risks and challenges
What's interesting about running a Kickstarter campaign is perhaps, how many "hats" one has to wear or learn how to wear. While running the campaign for BSD1 I had to learn to wear a great deal more than I'd ever had before, and things got bumpy... outside of family tragedies, we ran into a few other hiccups along the road, yet we prevailed and not only reached our goal, but successfully sent out all the rewards in a timely fashion.
Kickstarter now allows collaborators to work together on a campaign, giving access to a team, rather than a lone operator for a project! We are taking full advantage of that. I've brought along my co-creator Ed Ellsworth to not only help build this page, but also to help run the campaign itself. This is very exciting as, like I said, it can be quite a work load, but now we have two heads for all those hats and both of us are dedicated to making this sequel campaign the best we can and am so happy you have discovered The Black Suit of Death. Thank you for being Awesome!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
