Despite torrential downpours in the Chicago area, Warpers from everywhere descended on Chicago Comics last Saturday night. It was fantastic chatting with everyone and showing off the prototypes.

One Warper was heard saying, "No offense to the photographer, but seeing the figures in person takes my appreciation to a whole new level." No offense taken, bruthah, we couldn't agree more and nothing brought team Warpo more joy than seeing everyone get excited about having some up-close and personal time with the prototypes.

Near the end of the night, we played an 70's-80's trivia game where Warpers battled it out for a set of four figures! After three rounds and a final jeopardy style question, the winner won by 1 point! If you're wondering how you would have fared, see some of the questions (that don't require a visual) aid below.

  • Who sang, "Eye of the Tiger" from the 1982 movie Rocky III?
  • In the 1980 movie, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Before Han Solo is lowered into the carbon freezing chamber, Princess Leia says, "I love you." What does Han say back to her?
  • Who sang, "I'm All Right" from the 1980 movie Caddyshack?
  • What is the name of the protagonist and only survivor of the 1981 movie, "Evil Dead"? (50 bonus points if you know his last name.)
  • What company produced the line of figures called "The Worlds Greatest Superheroes" from 1972 – 1980?
  • What character from "The Barber of Seville" does Queen mention in their their 1975 song, "Bohemian Rhapsody"?
  • Put these 1980's toy lines in order of the year they first appeared starting with the oldest and going to the most recent. > Mattel's Masters of the Universe > Kenner's Star Wars > Mattel's Clash of the Titans > Mattel's Flash Gordon

Also, as we've seen in the Kickstarter comments section and on Facebook, Warpers were also demanding that we make the premium items (T-Shirt, Cup, Coloring Book, and VHS Tape) available as Add-Ons. Well, we hear you and we're working on it. Expect these items to be available as add-ons later this week so keep watching our updates!

Thanks for being awesome,
