Spear Me The Details

WARPERS, we're loving all the feedback in the comments section, on our Facebook page (facebook.com/warpotoys), and on Twitter (twitter.com/warpotoys). Tell us what you want. Tell us what you must have. Tell us what you can't possibly live without. Your cries of "Tekeli-li!” are sweet music to our ears so keep them coming!

But before you do that, let's take a minute to check out a brand new accessory hot from Eddy's workbench; The Deep One's spear! Once again, this is resin prototype which is why it is white in color. The final piece will feature injection-molded color and possibly one deco (paint) hit.

The Spear: The Deep One was a tricky character to nail down but his weapon was one we had in mind from the beginning. His spear needed to appear primitive, like something he cobbled together from bits and pieces he found at the bottom of the ocean. To that end, Eddy made the shaft look like a piece of driftwood, still a bit knotty but worn smooth from being tossed around by the ocean waves. Then we added a multi-toothed whaling spear-head to the top. Eddy really tricked it out with lumps and bumps to make it appear rusty but still sharp enough to impale any nosy stranger who happened to be hiding in the bushes. Eddy attached the spear-head with a piece of twine that appears thoroughly, yet clumsily tied. (YOU try tying a knot with big fishy Deep One fingers!)

We hope you enjoyed this latest sneak-peek. Thanks again for supporting Legends of Cthulhu! Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.
