Update #5 - What's in the Professor's Pockets?

Posted by Warpo (Creator)

WARPERS, thanks to you we had an excitement-filled evening as we reached our initial funding goal! Now that your gaze is locked squarely on the next prize... let us distract you for a moment with another sneak-peek! Today we have The Professor's accessories; one a trusted companion, the other an unflinching enigma of insanity!

Once again, these are resin prototypes which is why they are white in color. The final pieces will feature injection-molded color and possibly one deco (paint) hit.

1) The Gun: Modeled after a Webley Revolver, this pistol is often the Professor's only companion and last hope in the face of unfathomable danger. (Who are we kidding, what's a bullet going to do against a Shoggoth anyway?) ;-)

Eddy, once again did a stellar job of translating this weapon into our tiny toy version. He even gave it the Webley's signature grip!

2) Cthulhu Idol: In H.P.L.'s story "The Call of Cthulhu," this idol is more than just a prop, it's a character and harbinger of doom. Since this was such a key accessory, we spent a lot of time determining the look of the piece. It had to be recognizable in this tiny scale but also had to fit into the Professor's hand. Finally, we ran it through the Method Manufacturing filter to make sure it was authentically styled so that it looked like it was produced between 1979-80. Eddy really knocked the final sculpt out of the park!

We hope you enjoyed this latest sneak-peek. Thanks again for believing in us and spread the word so we can reach ALL of our stretch goals! Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.
