Welcome, welcome, one and all, to the second Warp Team Fantasy Football Kickstarter!
Following on from the successful Ram Raiders: Halfling Team Kickstarter in August, I am delighted to bring you another brand new scaly squad - The Croc Blockers!
WTFF is a new range of unique and distinctive miniatures to use in your Fantasy Football games. Each model has been hand sculpted, and is cast in the finest white metal and resin. My goal is to make sure that every single WTFF miniature is packed full of character, is a joy to paint, and will look suitably splendid on your table top.
So grab your popcorn, break out your beverages, and take your seats. Whilst we wait for the match to start, how's about we look at our second team to take to the pitch...
Battle Ball/ WTFF Pitches
Warp Team Fantasy Football have teamed up with Chris from Battle Ball to bring you these awesome Croc Blockers branded vinyl gaming mats! Usable on their own, they can also be placed inside the epic Battle Ball laser cut stadiums, and how awesome do they look?
To grab either the mat or the stadium, check out the Battle Ball Kickstarter here! - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/178326236/battle-ball-field-a-fantasy-football-arena/description
Why are there only a few stretch goals?
Kickstarter is an interesting beast, as all of us know from experience. Countless times people get involved in long, extensive campaigns only to wait months, sometimes years for them to be fulfilled. When the crowd bays for more, it's tempting to give in and offer far more products than you can deliver in the time frame promised at the start of the campaign!
In the past I've ran a few of those types of campaigns, and, as with the Ram Raiders Kickstarter, I have once again decided to keep this short and sweet. This means fewer products for you all to buy, but a much shorter time for you all to wait before your lovely models are on your painting desk. Which we can all agree, is exactly where they ought to be.
The cost of shipping is not included in your pledge, and will be added after the conclusion of the campaign through the pledge manager. I will provide you all with full instructions when the time comes. I am still finalising the exact shipping costs, but to give you a rough idea here are a couple of preliminary estimates:
GAME DAY TICKET: - £0 unless used to purchase miniatures in the campaign.
BOOGIE'S BUY: - £2 to the UK, £4 EU and £4 ROW.
TEAM PLAYER/GOLDEN CLAWS: £3.50 to the UK, £7 EU and £7 ROW.
These estimates may increase if you purchase a large number of additional models on top of your core pledge, especially at the BOOGIE'S BUY or GAME DAY TICKET level. The final shipping costs are subject to change, and will be based on your location and specific rewards.
Risks and challenges
Any undertaking of this nature is a huge commitment and a lot of work for everyone involved. Miniatures need sculpting, manufacturing, packing and eventually shipping to the backers.
It is at these hurdles that some Kickstarters have faltered in the past, so, I have given careful consideration to each part of the process to minimise potential risk. Warploque Miniatures is a family run business, so everyone involved is 100% dedicated to making this project as successful and professional as possible. My father is our resin caster, my mother is in charge of packing and shipment, and our metal caster is a tried and tested person we have worked with before.
Also, instead of relying purely on concept art and work-in-progress sculpts to illustrate my products, all of the initial models that I am offering have already been sculpted. They've been cast, the display copies have been painted, and they are ready to go into production, so backers know exactly what they are investing in. I will be relying on Work in Progress sculpts and concept art for some of the stretch goals, but be assured that they will be completed and cast in a timely manner once the campaign has been funded.
Finally, I have set achievable delivery date estimates. I have kept the campaign small and manageable, eschewing the long list of stretch goals that other campaigns have had, so this project has a much higher probability of being completed and delivered on time.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
