Hey all, I'm just a big gamer geek who's buddies talked into doing this. I'm hoping to go from making my tiles out of foam and cardboard to casting them out of resin.
And if lucky maybe sell a few.
I started making my own tiles after i got tired of using the old flat mat and paper tiles. I wanted a Good looking 3D set of tiles that i could fit together in any pattern I wanted and gave clear sight to all my players. Plus have enough of them to be useful and not cost me an arm and a leg.
I believe i have done so with these tiles. The prime tile measuring 2" by 4" and it can be used to build most rooms and hallways. I don't have walls in this set. and have found that they can block clear sight for some players.
Right now this project is just for the Core set of 41 pieces. I have additional set planed but that is for another day.
The Core Set contains: 4 2"x8", 3 4"x4", 12 2"x4", 6 2"x2", 4 corners, 4 1"x2", and 8 doors. All hand painted by me. ^_^ made out of durable plastic resin with a low slip backing.
Doors back and front.
you will get an option to have either 1" square grid or the gridless option.
I have found that one core set will cover most of your adventuring needs. I use Pathfinder rules but have gone gridless, using 1" measuring sticks. Here are some pick of them in use. Fallow me here
And here is my tile with the competition.
Risks and challenges
Biggest risk is my real life job slowing down production. As of right now everything will be made by hand by myself.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
