Although our Forging Foreshadows campaign through Kickstarter may have ended, you can still help support this project and even pick up some sweet rewards. Just have a look at the PLEDGE list to the right and get in contact with us through veryusartists.com/contact and let us know what you're interested in. Some of these rewards will likely no longer be available, but we'll see what we can do. Either way, your support of the Foreshadows project and independent artistry would be very much appreciated!
Now, ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
Imagine, if you will, a CD packed with cinematic, driving, and atmospheric music, where instead of finding a flimsy little booklet of liner notes tucked into a jewel case, there's an entire book. And for each track, there's a short story penned by a talented author of speculative fiction.
Then, imagine a book—an anthology of short fiction—that comes with a CD. And on that CD is a singular soundtrack for each and every story, a piece of original music born to accompany and underscore the tale it has been paired with.
Now, imagine they are one and the same.
It's called Foreshadows:The Ghosts of Zero (GoZ, for short), and it's the result of a collaboration between both up-and-coming and veteran authors and musicians. We've gathered under the banner of the Very Us Artists and Blindsided Books to bring you this experimental, multimedia depiction—foreshadowing a dark, cyberized, and somewhat dystopian future.
The funds we raise through Kickstarter will ensure that this book+CD will happen in the most awesome way possible, including professional mastering of the soundtrack, excellent print quality for the artwork, broader distribution of the final product, and overall top-shelf production values.
