Why we chose to create a music video
People turn into artists because they have an innate desire to express emotion and each artist develops their favorite medium for expression over time. For some of us on the project, creating vivid still or moving imagery brings creative satisfaction and for others it's the subtle emotions and energy expressed through dance and movement of the body. Music videos are a very interesting medium for a group of artists such as us since they allow us to express our creativity in multiple dimensions and provide a very flexible structure for the narrative. They allow us to engage our audience through music, through movement, through an engaging narrative and through strong visual composition. This winter we want to choreograph and create a music video "Intuition" to the rhythms of bollywood. It narrates the story of two destined souls coming together through the mysteries of universe.
Who we are
We are three artists, Shanthi is an accomplished dancer and choreographer and Sidd and I (Vin) are photographers and filmmakers. Shanthi has extensive experience with choreographing and directing large scale dance productions. Sidd and I both have rich photography portfolios and we started collaborating a few years ago over short-films and large photography projects. The three of us first started collaborating over dance shows and producing multi-media performances like The Dreams groups' "Raashee" show. Now, we want to take our creativity into a new direction and create a compelling show that wouldn't be possible on stage - by creating a music video.

Risks and challenges
Through her extensive experience in putting together shows, Shanthi has developed a great network of people who are efficient at creating the props and costumes required.
II. Casting actors and dancers. Finding crew.
We're harnessing our social network and contacts to arrange the talent and crew required for filming this video. The funds we raise through this kickstarter campaign are also intended to be used for a couple specific positions where we will need to hire help from outside our circle (eg. steadicam operator).
III. Finding locations:
We have been scouting for locations for a little while and have about 3 options to choose from.
Being in Seattle, the rain is constant challenge. Fortunately though, light rain will only enhance the feel of our video and the locations we chose have structures that will protect the cast/crew/equipment from rain in-between shots. We will also be rain-proofing our camera gear, just in case.
II Equipment Failure:
We will prepare to have a backup cameras in case our primary equipment malfunctions/fails.
III Data loss:
We are religious about making redundant data copies on-set to prevent data-loss mishaps.
