AdvertCity (and all of our games!) are designed to be as inclusive as possible, and you definitely don't need a fancy graphics card or tons of RAM to run them. One of our development machines is actually a ten year old computer built from spare parts, and we always make sure our games get good framerates on it. Advertcity is no exception. Basically if your desktop PC or laptop was made in the last six years, you'll definitely have no trouble playing this smoothly. Not many other new games can promise that!
The delivery date represents when the whole lot of the reward will be delivered. Everyone who has backed the beta tester tier and upwards will get their beta tester invites as soon as the kickstarter finishes and all the payments get processed. However, the physical rewards will take a little longer to produce and ship.
Currently we don't have an in-house mac, and trying to build in a vmware instance doesn't really reflect how our players will be using the game, so we can't test it properly. The stretch goal is to make sure we offer the best experience possible to OS X users - on a par with that on other platforms, and not just as an afterthought.
The primary game mode is currently single player, single city. If there's demand we'll consider adding multiple-city campaign modes, too - if so, let us know!
If we reach our multiplayer stretch goal, then we'll also have online multiplayer game modes, where several players share a city online and can either compete or cooperate.
Absolutely! The alpha build doesn't reflect the quality of the finished product, but it's enough to give a good idea of the overall gameplay and aesthetic.
