WHY VOX CONCERT SERIES NEEDS A CONCERT VENUE:
Our intimate atmosphere consistently draws guests to the Marshfield community from Minneapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and beyond to enjoy the personal concert experiences. In 2015, guests attending Vox events contributed toward $200,000+ of economic stimulus for the community through overnight stays, restaurant visits, and shopping.
In order to continue this successful growth, Vox needs a dedicated venue space. This will enable us to more easily accommodate touring acts' schedules, offer a more vibrant concert atmosphere, and provide opportunities to better serve our concert guests, as well as attract more newcomers to Marshfield's up-and-coming music scene.

WHY WE (VOX) ARE BEST SUITED TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN:
Closer to a movement than a concert series, the Vox Concert Series turns Marshfield, Wisconsin into a destination for music lovers by creating personal and memorable music experiences. In the last 12 years, Vox has hosted nearly 400 events featuring over 500 different artists, cementing its reputation as a place musicians want to play.
Vox alumni include such nationally touring artists as Rachel Platten, Tony Lucca, Nicholas David, Emerson Hart (of Tonic), Jon McLaughlin, Stephen Kellogg, Joshua James, Howie Day, Lee DeWyze, Anna Nalick, Joshua Davis, Tall Heights, Keri Noble, Sean Watkins (of Nickel Creek), The Milk Carton Kids, Penny & Sparrow, Sarah Darling, & many more!
WHERE IT WILL BE. WHAT IT WILL OFFER:
In July of 2016, Vox acquired a commercial space in the historic downtown district that will serve as a permanent venue, allowing the continued growth of the initial idea.
The Vox (as it will be called) will be a music venue and community space offering an intimate atmosphere with a generous stage, high-quality sound system, table seating, and a full-service bar area. In addition to continuing the mission of hosting memorable music performances, we will also be able to host private events, fundraisers, and a variety of other activities once open!
The Vox aims to continue putting music at the forefront of all we do; offering an intimate music experience that connects musicians with music lovers. We believe that music, when approached from this vantage point, has a transformative effect on people.
Vox provides a place where both nationally touring artists and emerging musicians can share their craft with an appreciative crowd in an atmosphere that draws music lovers from across the country to this rural community. With your help, we will be able to realize the ambitious goal to begin hosting events in the new venue space in early 2017, greatly expanding access to contemporary performing arts within the Marshfield community.

BUDGET AND TIMELINE:
The initial $6,500 goal will be used to improve bathroom facilities and ensure that both they and the primary entrance are ADA-compliant for handicapped guests. Any additional funding will be dedicated to the remodeling costs needed to begin hosting events in at this location.
Bottom line: The more funding we are able to secure, the more that can be accomplished toward getting the venue operational on or before April of 2017. Below is a list of anticipated remodel costs (beyond the initial goal) needed to begin hosting events.

Risks and challenges
We've set the goal for this project at a level that is realistic and attainable. Successful funding will kickstart the beginning of the necessary remodeling for hosting events in our new space. Additional stretch goals have been included to highlight the overarching needs of the project as a whole. As work on the venue progresses, we will be excited to keep all of our backers actively involved and informed.
