      Still waiting....

Seems the website is static, along with Facebook. Haven't backed another project since this one.

Yes - have tried directly to contact via Votary website, no response.

    4. Mary Carlin on

      Anybody tried his own website?

    5. John D. Peterson on

Still out $ blanket or scarf. Definitely have been had, along with many others. Luigi is a crook.

I live in the New York,NY area. I only pledged for a tote but STILL have not had any help. I NEVER received a survey but my pledge went through with no problem.
Can I get my money back?????????????

    7. Mary Carlin on

Do we have any legal recourse here?

So - how do we proceed? Seems like a stalemate here. It would be lovely to have some communication. This experience has marred my enthusiasm for Kickstarter which is such a shame :o(

No dice here in Minnesota either -- still waiting on 3 responses. No merch.

So pleased to hear that there has been some progress here - I haven't heard anything personally yet and am waiting on my rewards here in Australia. Hope like Nick that I will hear soon and really glad that there is an explanation behind the lack of contact.

      Still haven't received mine ...

Another international backer here who has yet to receive his scarf. I completed the survey two months ago and have heard nothing since.

Can we have an honest update please?

      Hi Luigi,

Just wanted to let you know we received the scarves today and they are absolutely gorgeous! We are very happy with them. We persisted with the contact because we were really looking forward to them - so glad we did! Thanks for the prompt posting.

      Best wishes,

      Nick and Lu

Hi everyone, just to let you know that Luigi actually contacted us this morning about this issue - thanks for your reply, Luigi. He said that there had been an issue with some of the international orders - he had sent them but customers didn't seem to have received them. He said that he since been out of the country and that an intern had been running things in his absence - he is now going to send us our goods via a tracked postage service so we can keep an eye on the shipment. For the record, thanks for getting back to us, Luigi. cheers, Nick and Lu

Hi everyone (except Luigi as YOU'RE obviously not even reading these messages!!!),

We are sorry to hear that other people are having the same problems with this Kickstarter project that we have. We spent $170 (incl. P&H to Australia) and we are appalled by the lack of contact. We have tried contacting this poor excuse of a businessman on FB, KS (private and public messages) Twitter and email via Votary website.

The only thing we haven't tried is calling the number listed on his website, only because it's an international call for us. Has anyone in the US tried the number - 646.504.5510 - what was the result? Does anyone know if there is anyway to take this further?

Can I ask a question, have any backers living in the US not received their goods? Or is it just international customers who have been ripped off by this trickster???

Luigi - if you are lurking - hear us when we say - beware of the karma you have built from this - it will come back to bite you - we've backed 18 projects and yours is the only one we've had issues with. You ought to be ashamed of yourself - especially in the current economic climate. May all your future projects never reach fruition.

Goodluck on the bread line - your work ethic stinks pal!!!

    17. Sook young Ahn on

Luigi, this is just outrageous, I have sent you message, left comment here few times....No answer at all! Its January now, since November you have never updated on the status of the project. You said 'all shipments will be in your hands within November as planned.',...I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED THEM. If you had some problem dispatching them, or there has been some delays in making them, don't you think those 203 backers has the rights to be informed? Those 203 backers have backed you and supported your project. I have backed many of kickstarter projects and never had problems like these. COMMUNICATION is the VIP factor here, and you have clearly failed. And I would like to get a refund, since the spring is coming soon and I won't be needing the scarf anymore.

I am sure you have read this Luigi before launching your project, BUT READ THEM AGAIN.

What should creators do if they're having problems completing their project?
If problems come up, creators are expected to post a project update (which is emailed to all backers) explaining the situation. Sharing the story, speed bumps and all, is crucial. Most backers support projects because they want to see something happen and they'd like to be a part of it. Creators who are honest and transparent will usually find backers to be understanding.

It's not uncommon for things to take longer than expected. Sometimes the execution of the project proves more difficult than the creator had anticipated. If a creator is making a good faith effort to complete their project and is transparent about it, backers should do their best to be patient and understanding while demanding continued accountability from the creator.

If the problems are severe enough that the creator can't fulfill their project, creators need to find a resolution. Steps could include offering refunds, detailing exactly how funds were used, and other actions to satisfy backers.

Is a creator legally obligated to fulfill the promises of their project?
Yes. Kickstarter's Terms of Use require creators to fulfill all rewards of their project or refund any backer whose reward they do not or cannot fulfill. (This is what creators see before they launch.) We crafted these terms to create a legal requirement for creators to follow through on their projects, and to give backers a recourse if they don't. We hope that backers will consider using this provision only in cases where they feel that a creator has not made a good faith effort to complete the project and fulfill.

      Hi Luigi,

Just a question around the delivery of the scarves - I am from Australia and ordered two scarves from Kickstarter but have not yet received them. I note that many people have received theirs. Can you please advise when you will be shipping my order?

    27. Jeffrey on

I just got my scarf Luigi! Thanks for being so quick on your delivery and true to your word on shipping estimates. It really is a great scarf and in Toronto will be appreciated in the coming months, brrrr.

I saw your video and I remember thinking impressive and gutsy taking your life outside the box and turn your idea/dream into reality. Many of us tend to dream and then wake up to a whole different world. Then it hit me, a nice soft blanket, an oversized scarf and best of all American made how can you go wrong with that? So I became a backer!

Best of luck to you, although I know you will have much success given your drive, intelligence, hard work and sense of style.

Congrats Cuz! Best of luck and congrats on your new endeavor. Looking forward to checking out some of your stuff.
