Bulgaria update / US show dates & support / BNRadio feature
Dear friends and supporters,
Balkan Tales and I are thrilled to have your support for our project and expedition to Bulgaria! It quite literally means the world to us :)
However, as life and music business would sometimes have it, unfortunately, a logistical problem out of our control has emerged, and we are unable to solve it. We have to postpone our trip as a group to Bulgaria for a later time, and the Kickstarter campaign here will be terminated. We are extremely disappointed, but are already working to re-structure our trip and shows for 2012.
In the meantime, details for some of our USA dates are already available, I've posted them below. And, as part of a research grant, Vlada and Chris will still travel to Bulgaria to work with Theodosii Spassov on repertoire for the US shows.
WE WANT TO EXPRESS OUR GRATITUDE FOR YOUR AWESOME SUPPORT! While in Bulgaria, Vlada and Chris would love to send you a colorful postcard from Sofia or an ancient village, where in addition to working with Theodosii, we will study with some of Bulgaria's most renowned folk singers.
So please do send us your mailing address!
In case you would still like to support the US portion of our project, we would greatly benefit from being able to offset some of the costs for concert promotion (by top world music PR agency rock paper scissors, inc.), and flights and ground transportation for US shows. You can make a tax-deductible donation via The Field here. We will be happy to honor all contributions with the same gift we offered on Kickstarter, and add a surprise to it!
Thank you again so very much for your generous support, and we look forward to staying in touch through this amazing journey!
Vlada, Chris, Kyle, Mike and Mathias
