Hi Don, thanks for the comment! Actually, our product is not produced in Canada (although we wish we could make it in Canada, it'd make the cost dramatically higher and we wouldn't be able to offer it at the current price). Our pricing is in USD, but we can definitely sympathize that the Canadian-US dollar exchange rate is not ideal at the moment. Regarding shipping, We've done our best to reduce shipping cost, but $10 is the minimize rate. Our product contains multiple pieces and some are delicate, so it needs proper packaging to endure international shipping and to comply with regulations.

I'm confused as to how a bra made in Canada still costs $10 to ship to Canada? Also how does the $149 mothers day bra become $218 im a little upset about that!!

We'd like to make a clarification about our rewards. Any kit comes with a Smart Bra, a GEM, a charger and My VITALI app. We've used the Smart Bra Kit and Intuitive Bra Kit interchangeably, and has caused some confusion. They are the same!
Note that our Mother's Day Special is available for pledging/ upgrading. :)
      Have a lovely day! :)

Hi Marsha, thank you for asking this, we really enjoy engaging with backers like you who are excited about the space. After reviewing Heartln's page, we believe there are two major differentiators:
      1. Form factor: VITALI is designed specifically for women. We realized early on that wearables design shouldn't be gender neutral, and we want to design a product to best serve women. So both the Smart Bra and the GEM are designed and tested with female's anatomy, habits and style.
      2. Application: as you said we are both collecting ECG signal from the upper thoracic. Heartln is focused on sports performance, but VITALI is about how the bio-signals translate to our wellbeing. For modern-age women who are active, we tend to also live hectic lifestyles. We might spend an hour a day doing activities, yet the other 8 hours stressing. So we see the 8 hours to be a bigger window of improvement, and designed all aspects of VITALI, style, user experience, analytics and software to weave into your everyday life. Plus VITALI also monitors your breathing pattern and postures, more point of reference = more holistic picture of your wellness.

Thanks for doing the live stream! I thought of a question afterwards (of course, lol!). I saw a similar smart bra/shirt campaign called HeartIn on Kickstarter. If you're familiar with it, how do you think Vitali differs? I usually don't like to mention other competing campaigns, but I would love to understand how their tech/sensors/features seem to differ (if at all). It seems like both products share some similar sensors but that they're being used for different purposes.

I know you can't be 100% sure with pre-released products that you can't examine, but based on what the other campaign has shared, can you say what seems to be similar/different? Your answer will help me confirm that your product is more what I'm looking for.

P.S. It's too bad that your electronics can't attach to their garments or vice versa, but I get that! ;-)

Hi Emanuel, thank you for the support! We are believers in happy wife, happy life. :) Down the road we will explore the potential to integrate our technology into other garments, such as regular bras, tank tops, and a male version as well!

    9. Emanuel K. am April 26

well will there be a male ware as well later? ;-P joining this for my wife but well how knows! my stress-lvl is sometime high ;-D

Hi Marsha, yes the plan is to expand our smart garment line to more styles down the road! The GEM is compatible with any any smart clothing from VITALI. Because we have sensors embedded in the garment that connect to the GEM, the GEM will not work with non-VITALI bras.

Currently we also have limited amount of laundry day kits that have an extra smart bra! At discounted $189 (black only) and $209 (mixed style). We will also be offering ad-ons to all backers post campaign, and an extra smart bra will be $70 (Retail $90).

This is a cool project! I'd love to know if you plan on adding more traditional bra styles too (or if GEM can be attached to our current bras somehow with an attachment clip).

Also, for super early birds, how much is it to add a second bra?

Thank you so much for creating this! This is exactly what I need as an entrepreneur myself. Can't wait to get my smart bra!
