A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
I’m Valerio, a 22yrs old IT Technician living in Fara, Italy
I always wanted a CNC at home, i studied CNC machines tools at school a few years ago.
One day i saw my friend's homemade CNC laser, built on a drafting table (2 Axis with 5W laser attached) and i promised to myself i must build something bigger, better and with 3 or more axis!
The official project started on December 2017, and it has passed a lot of upgrades and enchantements. Working with 45x45 aluminium profile is simple and that’s why i’ve used as my CNC structure. With the 500w brushless motor and a robust bracket, Vischio CNC can finally mill aluminium and soft metals.
The THR15 linear guide and 6 THR15 carriges with Nema17 motors are capable of high speed movement (up to 5000mm/min) and are very solid. I’ve used T8 trapezoidal lead screw with anti backlash nut.
The stepper drivers are 4x TB6600 driven by Mach3 USB board. All the electronics is placed underneath the CNC. Please note that VISCHIO CNC with Mach3 needs a laptop with Windows 10 / 7 / XP to work. No virtual machine / parallel port is needed!
Vischio CNC weights around 40 kgs
• 1 € Thank you email!
• 50 € Customized wooden plate (200x75x25 mm)
• 2399 € Vischio CNC Early bird (5 users)
• 2599 € Vischio CNC (10 users)
Note: Vischio CNC Early bird and Vischio CNC full kit are the same package.
I’m Valerio, i’m from Fara, Italy. I studied CNC machines tools in my school, and now i’m an IT technician. I’ve always had very high grades on my school’s workshop, on traditional lathes, milling machines but also a tiny CNC lathe, which i still love. I made a lot of pieces with that lathe, such as .50 bullets or mini-sized aluminium cup.
I love laptop PCs, and as i always say, bigger is better speaking of laptop! I have an MSI GT73VR 1070SLI at home, which i use for gaming and editing video. PC and CNC machines has always been my passions, why don’t put them together?
As you can see from the photos, the VISCHIO CNC is still under upgrading for become more stable and usable.
I spent a lot of money for keep my CNC running, and it would be awesome if i could sell it online.
Producing hardware and calibrating software is risky as every machines can be different and needs special adjustment.
If this project won't be supported by kickstarter, VISCHIO CNC will remain unique and will not be reproduced.
