About

Who we are: We are a startup fresh out of design school. We have always had a passion for TCGs like Magic, Yugioh, and Pokemon. We wanted to set out to create the ultimate strategy card game that used quality card stock and materials. 

What we need to do: The game is fully designed, but the artwork is not yet complete. We have 108 unique cards in the set, and have art for about half, we need your help to finish our funding to commission art for the rest of the set and to fund our initial orders of cards, packs, packaging, play mats, and binders.  Once we hit completion we plan on distributing from an online source so we can be sure to fulfill every order by hand, and depending on popularity and funding, we would like to create expansion packs yearly to bi yearly. 


 We plan on listening to our following on what they want, rather it be building a deck on our website and having them made, to releasing full play sets available for purchase , or just pre-made decks, we want the players to have full access to our card pool to increase the fun and keep the cost to you down.


Card Design:

Unique card design that allows the user to see every ability, card type, and energy cost along the left side of the card. This allows you to get a quick read of your hand without having to flip through cards

The card quality we decided on is 3.5 by 2.5 inch, 310 gsm black core French cardstock with a linen finish to give it a textured feel.

How it plays: Have you ever not had enough Mana to lay down a card? What about drawn only high level monsters you cant play for several turns? Have you had an opponent troll you by controlling your entire board? 

Viriviind was designed to eliminate the luck of the draw as much as possible during your games by giving players guarented energy increase to be able to play cards conistently, as well as add a dynamic back and forth in its game play so that you are never out of the game, and that one move can change the entire outcome of the battle.

The playable area is divided into 2 Lanes / sides. In order to win you must defeat the 2 enemy chieftains by bringing their life total to 0, only then may you attack the player to win. Creatures may only attack on the side of the board they are on, and not across. This forces the player to have to develop strategy that involves not only what card to play, but also which board to play it on. This causes Viriviind to be one of the highest skill card games on the market.

Control 2 lanes of the same field at once, and win through either lane. No longer can someone lock down their field and stall out a game!

Game Mechanics and Rules

Chieftains, Lords and disciples all have unique abilities that can be used while they are on the field. we have 108 unique cards in the first Set!

Chieftain, Lord and Disciple Mechanics 

Basic Rules:

Basic:

> Life total – 20

> Fatigue- Lords and Disciples cannot attack or use abilities for 1 turn upon being cast

> Deck Size: Min. 40 cards, 60 max

> Card Limits (tentative): 1 of each God, 1 of each lord, max 3 of everything else

> Hand Size: Starting hand is 5 cards, max cards in hand is 8, must discard if  9+ cards in hand at end of turn

> Lane Size: unlimited Disciples, 2 Lords max, 1 Chieftain max, any number of other cards, May not have 2 lords of the same name in the same lane

> Cards only affect their lane unless stated otherwise

> Recommended deck breakdown- 40. 2 Chieftains, 6 Lords, 7 Relics, 3 Enchantments, 12 Snapcasts, 10 Summons

> Spend a card - Card cannot attack, defend or use abilities while spent, cannot do damage if attacked. Until next draw phase.

> Must destroy a Chieftain to attack the player through that lane

Phases:

> Energy gain

> Draw 

> Main Phase 1

> Battle Phase- Lane 1: Declare attackers, pause, declare blockers, pause, damage calculation

> Battle Phase- Lane 2: Declare attackers, pause, declare blockers, pause, damage calculation

> Main Phase 2

> Turn Change Phase (Quick plays may be played here)

Energy:

> Both players Start with 1 energy. Player who goes 1st may gain 1 energy and go to 2 OR draw a card and stay at 1 energy

> Default: you gain 1 energy per turn. (does not carry over unused energy to your next turn, does carry over through opponents turn until your next draw phase.

> Card abilities can max you out at 8 additional energy per turn 

> Cards can only be cast on your turn unless stated otherwise

> If Harvest source is removed on opponents turn, player keeps their remaining energy, but loses the energy from their total

Win Conditions: 

> Players life hits 0 or below 

> Player concedes, or has no moves to make

Damage and Attacking:

> Damage done does not reset automatically

> Disciples can attack anything on the board, and block anything if able

> Lords may attack other Lords Or Chieftains, and can block for anything if able

> Chieftains may not attack anything or block

Chieftains:

> Chieftains are not creatures

> Chieftains are considered players

> Chieftains don’t do damage until activated

> Cheiftains are activated when your energy total matches their awakening cost 

> Lords can be played in Tier 3 as a chieftain, their summoning cost is their awaking cost, and their abilities affect the zone instead of the front row. Can only perform godlike ability aka not attack only receive damage.

>Cheiftains awaken when your energy total reaches their energy cost, you do not have to pay to awaken them, unless they are played from your hand
