We are Furcast and we are a band! We recorded an EP in 2009, called the Together EP (which featured the song "Gray is old". You can hear it in the video above). We were really proud of it and a lot of people really liked it, but almost immediately after playing the release show, we went on hiatus.
Then in 2010 Johann was asked to compose the music for the theatrical experience "Sneaky Nietzsche." He obliged, and later that year, asked the remaining members of Furcast to make up the band.
It was an amazing experience because it was a great show, and enabled us to play for thousands of people, but also because we remembered how much we enjoyed playing music together.
We began writing and rehearsing officially as Furcast about a year and a half ago and we are super pumped and proud to announce that we are almost ready to release a full length album and accompanying stop motion music video for the single "Walk through"! Clips from it can be seen at the beginning of the Kickstarter video.
Johann's sister Janelle has done a wonderful job so far, but we need the funds to pay her to finish it. It's a beautiful film and we hope that you will contribute to the campaign to complete it.
We are also short a couple thousand dollars to complete the recording, mixing and mastering of the album.
>$4000 = No money
We need to reach the $4000 goal or else all money will be returned and we will have to go back to the drawing board to figure out how to raise it. That would result in postponing the album and music video for a while, until we can figure out some other means, which would not be good!
So let's make this music heard! Thanks again!
