Where is The Shapeless Shape now?
We hope you're off to a great year. After a full holiday season of shipping books, things have finally slowed down with The Shapeless Shape. We're now gearing up for a few fun next steps. But before we tell you more, here are two incredible reviews from the first readers:
From New York:
Hi! I Kickstarted your book thinking it looked sweet and liking the message. I teach students with autism in New York's special education district, so I thought it would be particularly interesting for them.
I read them the book for the first time today. These are students who have moderate to severe autism. Some of them talk, some of them use speech devices, some don't talk at all. They all have trouble paying attention to me, especially when I read to them. But this book? They loved it. They were able to tell what happened in it, they were able to engage in telling me what shape they'd like to be, they asked questions about the book. One of them told me "that was such an amazing book! It blew my mind!"
Thank you for your book. I just wanted to let you know it reached some of the hardest to reach kids.
What a fantastic book. The first time a read it by myself and I was entertained and pleased by the story.
The second time a read it to my son using my "cough" storytelling skills. This time I was completely moved by the story. Not quite sure why... a reminder of a difficult time for myself, but, at the same time, picturing the same journey for my son was really emotional. Finding his place is something special and I think your book capture it quite right.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful and engaging story.
Also, this video from Seattle:
(We did NOT pay him to do this. Promise.)
There have been dozens of photos, videos, and amazing stories like this over the past two months. It's been amazing to see the initial response. Thank you for sharing with us!
SO, WHAT'S NEXT??
We'll be launching the book on Amazon later this month to make ordering even easier. We'll announce the official launch-date soon so we can work together to get the book on the top-ten list!

Lastly, we've just begun doing a few readings. Victor will be reading the book at two Chicago schools in March. And David & Victor will be doing a reading on April 19th at IDEO Palo Alto. Do you have an idea for a reading? Just let us know.
We'll continue using this as a medium to keep you posted with next steps. Thanks for being part bringing The Shapeless Shape into the world. The reviews above are just a small glimpse of the impact the story and character are having.
And we have a feeling, it's just the beginning.
