Our team has been making clothing in the US for more than three years now, working alongside factories with over 25 years of experience...so we aren’t new at this. We’re poised and ready to make affordable organic clothing a reality. Together we can make the hometown factory the victor.
In 1980, America made 80% of its clothes in the US; today, that number is down to 2%. The more time we’ve spent in these small-town factories, the more we’ve grown to see these “percentages” as people with families to feed, and mortgages to pay. By choosing to employ rural American factories again, Victor prioritizes how the clothes are sewn. In fact, we’re going even farther by giving 5% of our after-tax profit back to the factory to continue to invest in their workers and combat the impact of outsourcing.
While conventional cotton occupies only three percent of the world’s farmland, it uses 25 percent of the world’s chemical pesticides and fertilizers. It is the most pesticide-laden crop in the US. Pesticides that are applied to cotton during the production phase can be detected in cotton clothing in chemical residues that affect the wearer. By choosing to use organic cotton, Victor prioritizes your health and the environment.
Victor makes it easy to feel good about buying our products. Whether you’re motivated by a great fit, bringing jobs back to the US, or purchasing sustainable clothing--- we’ve got you covered. We’re simplifying online shopping by sending a free try-on box to your door, AND pricing clothes directly from the factory to you. A sweatshirt that would typically be $125 is now $65. We are lowering the barrier of entry for more people to join us in changing the market, employing our neighbor at fair wages, for a fair price.
We've been making clothes in the USA for the last three years and people have had nothing but good things to say about our products and philosophy.
We’ve already made the initial investment and done the work: the patterns are ready, the fabric is sourced, and the factories are waiting to begin. We’ve spent months developing custom materials and tinkering with the details on our products, and can’t wait to get them to you.
We did the heavy lifting early so as soon as you place your order we can get started making your product. We can’t wait to tell our suppliers and our clothes-makers that we’re ready to begin.
SIZING UPDATE - Men's XXL & XXXL NOW AVAILABLE
After hearing your feedback, and talking it over with our design team, we are happy to announce that we WILL be expanding our Men's sizes to an XXL & XXXL! We will work on updating the charts, and are still considering larger women's sizes if the demand is high enough.
Risks and challenges
We’ve been making clothes for three years now, and so we’re familiar with the challenges of being a US made company. The biggest challenge is the financial investment. It’s simply just more expensive to make clothes in the US and to invest in organic materials. There is also a risk involved in creating a brand that sells directly from the factory to the customer because it needs a fan-base to survive. We need people like you who are willing to order products online and stay connected with a brand they believe in. We also need your help to spread the word and educate your friends on the exceptional product and “employ your neighbor” philosophy of Victor.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
