A Surreal Tale
"At the moment of supreme joy we hear the scream of horror or the yearning lament of irretrievable loss" Friedrich Nietzsche.
In a strange sunrise around a house among the trees, a girl and a boy turn their fears, desires and frustrations into an innocent and macabre game, a pact of silence where looking to each other is another taboo. The more they delve into the depths of the forest, the further away they get from reality, sinking into a subconscious dreamlike atmosphere, far from any human law. A world of their own, made of their most intimate lights and shadows, where the boundaries between dream and reality will blur as day and night at sunset.
An artistic Adventure
“No one can stop Art. All works made and is worthy to be seen by all should remain as it should be. Left Alone.” Man Ray
Our inspiration came from a very personal place, a recurrent intimate fear that we wanted to express. In developing the idea, we were inspired by masters of film such as Luis Buñuel, Andrei Tarkovsky, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Maya Deren, Carl Theodor Dreyer and artists in other didsciplines such as Fernando Arrabal, Federico Garcia Lorca, Edvard Munch, Jana Brike, Laura Makabresku or Alison Scarpulla...
With its marked surreal and experimental vision, VERT is a singular cinematographic experience, therefore Kickstarter is the ideal medium to establish collaboration between the creators and a public that is particularly sensitive to artistic expression.
“Believe in a love that is being stored up for you like an inheritance, and have faith that in this love there is a strength and a blessing so large that you can travel as far as you wish without having to step outside it.”
Rainer Maria Rilke
The first phase of Vert has already started shooting in California, and this fall we will travel to the misty forests of Northern Spain, where the magic of the architecture and singular vegetation will capture the desired mood of the film. Your collaboration will be essential for this adventure, so that we can be as faithful as possible to our original idea. We plan to traslate every single contribution into quality and poetry on the screen. Our crew is investing a talent and extensive experience that will be rewarded economically.
The funds that we raise through Kickstarter will be carefully budgeted and a generous portion will be alloted to post production and distribution. It is our plan to submit VERT to significant film festivals around the world.

Risks and challenges
The most significant risk to this project would be failing to meet this fundraising goal. We do not foresee any other extraordinary risks because we are thoroughly prepared for production and post production.
Shooting in two countries will be a challenge, but we have an experienced Location Scout on our team who is currently securing the locations that will perfectly capture the mood of our film.
Our entire team is experienced, extremely talented and deeply invested in the film.
