About this project
FUNDED!!!!!!!! Thank you to all of you who have gone on this journey with us. We beat incredible odds ALL TOGETHER. 1% of Kickstarter films achieve goals over $99K - and it is because of all of you. Thank you. Visit www.revolverthemovie.com for updates on our DREAM COMING TRUE! Here are the highlights of our 28 day journey across the country living in a van to fund this project.
We may not have met before, but if you watch the videos on this page...
You will know us.
Dreams are telling things.
We are Veronica and Burke and Revolver is our dream...
Revolver is a feature length screenplay that we wrote together. It's a road trip movie, an adventure, a romance. The script was our first collaboration and our first dream together.
We shot the above award-winning trailer to bring attention to our project and show the world what our story looked like. Our film trailer was voted to win among an esteemed panel of judges including: Directors Neil Jordan and Rob Minkoff, actors Glenn Close and Benicio Del Toro, Miramax production exec Bob Osher.
Now, Revolver is in the early stages of pre-production for the feature film. We have already raised our own funds to travel across the country and to scout for locations. We are doing that right now.
This Kickstarter is to raise production funds, so we can shoot Revolver in the summer of 2014.
Launching a Kickstarter from the road may seem crazy but here's the thing…
Kickstarter is all about people helping one another realize dreams. It is a wonderful way to put our project in front of people all over the internet. But we also want to take this project off line, and bring it into the physical world. We want to be able to say hello and thank you in person.
If you are helping us make our project happen, we want to meet you.
We will be touring across the country from San Francisco to New York City. If you happen to be on our route, let's chill in some 24 hour diner and we'll tell you more about our project.
...If you can't meet up, don't worry. We will be sharing videos and adding updates almost every day - so it will be like you're on the road with us.

What Is Revolver About?
The story of Revolver was born on a fire escape in Brooklyn, 10 years ago, when Burke and I were desperate to adventure, but had no money in our pockets.
So, we adventured in our imagination. A story formed about the open road and love on the run.
Revolver takes place along yesterday's two lane highways, at 55 miles an hour, past rusted mile markers and peeling billboards, in a 62' pick-up with bad tires....Revolver will take you back.
Are you ready for an adventure?
Great adventures and big dreams involve taking big risks. They have to. It's the risks that make the accomplishments so rewarding.
As you know, Kickstarter is all or nothing. Which means, if we don't make our goal, we don't get any of the funding.
We need as much help as possible to get this everywhere out there in the world. By clicking the buttons below our video at the top of this page, you can share our Kickstarter on Facebook and Twitter. Sharing on social media and widening our community will give our dream the chance to fly.
Let's make history together.
We are so grateful for those of you all over the world that are on TEAM REVOLVER and standing alongside us as we all make this dream come true together.
Where Will The Funding Go?
We have a lot in place already--crew members, several actors, some of
the musicians for the soundtrack. We even have gear and equipment
committed to the project, but muscle and metal isn't enough, sometimes
you need money.
We set our Kickstarter at $99,000 because it is the smallest possible amount of funding that will allow us to shoot Revolver.
A small portion of the funding will go to additional camera, lighting, and sound gear. There will be a few critical locations we just won't be able to get for free. Some of our cast and crew members will commit so much time to the project we just can't ask them to work for free. But all of these costs account for less than half our budget.
The bulk of our need is for something even more simple: Food, Transportation, and Shelter. People are often surprised, but these basics are a real challenge for low budget filmmaking. Once production starts we will be changing locations almost everyday. The have an entire country to capture on film. Moving a crew of 15, plus lights, cameras, props, and wardrobe takes multiple vehicles and a lot of gas, and we need to feed that crew, and give them a place to sleep along the way.
We've racked our brains to think of things that would be personal to give you, our beloved Backers.

Risks and challenges
Our goal is to turn our screenplay into a feature film that can be viewed all over the world. Ultimately, we want to see Revolver in movie theaters. How challenging is that?… VERY.
Of course, you don't need to have a theatrical release for a film to be successful. There are many other places to showcase a film, Television, Netfix, Amazon, etc. But we are ambitious, we want to see it in the theaters. We know that Low budget filmmaking is extremely difficult. And for every Indy film you've heard of, there are many others that didn't make it.
The good news is. Our team is a collection of artists and professionals who have tons of real world experience. We will be mixing inspiration with practical know-how, technique, and strategy.
In 2013, Sundance featured 17 films that were Kickstarter backed and 6 of those films received top honors! We want to be among those and we know it is possible.
Yes, there are risks. Yes, there will be challenges, big ones, but that's life right? We'll figure it out.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
