The Idols of Solanşehir: Issue Three
Support The Idols of Solanşehir, a bewitching story about sisters, magic and myths. Written by Vera Greentea and illustrated by Miyuli.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Fri, May 10 2019 9:30 PM UTC +00:00.
The Idols of Solanşehir is a moody and bewitching tale of sisters who must unite to help their brother when he comes home from the army with a mysterious relic and visions of another realm.
The meaning of the title: Solanşehir is inspired by taking two words from Turkish and compounding them into one. "Solan" means "fading" and "şehir" means "city".
Together, the title means The Idols of the Fading City.
Despite her sister's skepticism for all things supernatural, Rhett is pretty certain that she found a way to the world of sorcery. Under her new friend Fro's tutelage, she is ready to give up everything to gain the magical powers to heal her brother, Sam. Or is she? Meanwhile, as Rosemary investigates the creepy statue she found hiding in Sam's cabinet, Sam is fighting the demons that followed him home.

This heartwarming Kickstarter will be up March through April, during which we hope that we will raise enough funds to pay our hardworking Miyuli for the continuation of illustrating The Idols of Solanşehir, pay our hard-working letterer Adam, print the book and the usual shipping costs, supplies costs, KS fees and relevant merchandise. The comic will be of usual lovely Greentea Publishing quality; 20 pgs. of story, fully colored and professionally lettered. Our printer is American, so it's a bit more expensive, but we here at Greentea Publishing never mind sacrificing some money to save on costs to the environment.
Greentea Publishing is known for spending its collected funds on the core project - the book. We like to make sure we take care of the Artist, the Letterer and you (the Reader). With this in mind, you may notice that we end up creating less merchandise than we'd like, however, we strive to fulfill our projects fairly quickly and pay everyone working on it good rates.
However, we do try to have at least one bit of merchandise that's pleasing to our dear fans. This time we are particularly proud of our Greeting Card, a cute little addition that can be a fun little keepsake decorating your bookshelves or desk! Or, it can be mailed to a favorite person for a holiday, a get well day, or just a simply marvelous "Thinking of You". With Miyuli's artwork, it will enchant all.
We are also experimenting with a different piece of merchandise for Greentea Publishing, which we think you'll really like! If we get enough funds, this Goal will be added as a tier. Let's see if we can do it! :)
Music used in the video is called "Préface d'une journée ordinaire" by Circus Marcus, from his album Vous êtes quelqu'un de terriblement absent. All of the art in the video was created by Miyuli for our comic. Thank you for supporting us!
