The Idols of Solanşehir 2: An Indie Comics Project
Support The Idols of Solanşehir, a bewitching story about sisters, magic and myths. Written by Vera Greentea and illustrated by Miyuli.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Fri, August 31 2018 11:30 PM UTC +00:00.
The Idols of Solanşehir is a moody and bewitching tale of sisters who must unite to help their brother when he comes home from army with a mysterious relic and visions of another realm.
The meaning of the title: Solanşehir is inspired by taking two words from Turkish and compounding them into one. "Solan" means "fading" and "şehir" means "city".
Together, the title means The Idols of the Fading City.
Sam is finally home and ready for some peace and quiet, but his sisters have other things on their minds. Adventure-seeking Rhett is on a Very Serious mission to uncover the world of magic and spells, while Rosemary, aka Future Doctor, would like everyone to get back on the road to real life, thank you very much.
A note! This Kickstarter is for Issue Two, but you may pledge for Issue One as well (just find the corresponding pledge tiers!)! This summery Kickstarter will be up July and August, during which we hope that we will raise enough funds to pay Miyuli for her stunning comics work, pay our hard-working letterer, print the book and the usual shipping costs, supplies costs, KS fees and relevant merchandise. The comic will be of usual lovely Greentea Publishing quality; 21 pgs. of story + extras, fully colored and professionally lettered. Our printer is American, so it's a bit more expensive, but we here at Greentea Publishing never mind sacrificing some money to save on costs to the environment.
Greentea Publishing projects tend to spend most of the collected funds on the artist, the nice printing, the letterer and such costs as are relevant to creating a nice book and paying the artist and letterer marketable rates.
Our special gift this time is a really lovely print, which you can have in one of two ways. The Limited Edition print will be signed by both Miyuli and Vera Greentea, and will be printed on pearlescent paper. The Kickstarter print will be on lovely paper as well, and only signed by the author.
Music used in the video is called "Changing Reality" from Kai Engel's lovely album Better Way. All of the art in the video was created by Miyuli for our comic. Thank you for supporting us!
