Welcome, Pilot! You are about to command a new combat testing machine dubbed the Tri Wing. Below you will be debriefed on your role as a Pilot as well as the capabilities of the Tri Wing.
Tri Wing is a multiplayer real-time action based card game within a grid based arena to dominate their opponents by drafting decks full of weapon attacks and tactile maneuvers! The game was influenced by the mechanics of Megaman Battle Network, Hearthstone, and Street Fighter.
*DISCLAIMER - All damage was significantly increased for demonstration purposes*

As the pilot, you will be given a set of tools to aid you in combat with the Tri Wing. The first set of tools is the CMD Prompt, which is a window either player can use to reload their hands with fresh attacks when the Turn Gauge is full.

The CMD Prompt will allow you to COLLECT cards at the expense of some Fuel (your resource points, manage them carefully!) in order to stockpile more cards per turn, MANAGE cards in your hand by replacing one with another card in the deck, or DISCARD a card for extra Fuel.

The Tri Wing is also equipped with a myriad of intricate tactics, such as the ability to Focus the target, thereby slowing them down for a moment to strike.

The Tri Wing is also capable of an overdrive mechanic when damage has been sustained. This is called the EX mode. EX allows pilots to unleash powerful variant attacks and grants a small window of invincibility frames, but they run the risk of taking extra damage and stun if caught off guard.

Battles take place on a grid, where each player starts with nine tiles in a 3x3 arrangement. The state of the board is crucial to your success on the battlefield. Tiles can be modified, occupied, broken, or even stolen. A good pilot will always be aware of his surroundings.

The music was done by a close friend of mine by the name of Micah (though he prefers Sir Raleigh. We'll still call him Micah). Here's a glimpse of the soundtrack to get a feel for the vibe of the game:

Tri Wing will release in late 2017 for PC, iOS, and Android. The Alpha will be projected to launch towards Q4 2016, and the Beta test will be expected for Q2 2017.

I'm reaching out to Kickstarter as I am a one man team with a day job and personal responsibilities. It's been difficult to balance work, life, and game development all together. I've gone so far as to move to Cincinnati to pursue my game's completion in hopes that the lower cost of living and a pay raise would aid me. Kickstarter will allow me to focus more on the development of Tri Wing, and less on my day job. The base game is finished, but there are still several animations and art pieces that need to be done, mechanics that need polish, and a myriad of cards that need to be added. I'm planning on releasing an alpha when the game has at least 30 unique cards minimum, but I would like the full game to launch with at least 75 cards. Cards effects I plan on adding include, but are not limited to:
- Knock back punches
- Objects/Tokens/Minion summons
- Shockwaves
- Barriers and heal spells
- Turn Gauge time modifiers
- AoE flares
- Secrets/Trap Cards
Kickstarter also serves as a brilliant way to establish a community that will provide valuable input for the game when I begin releasing test builds. Your opinions about the game's fluidity and balance is beyond important to me.

Risks and challenges
There will always be risks when undertaking a project like this, especially when tackling it alone. The chief concern is timeliness, and how the game should be delivered on time. Working on this game has taught me that game development takes time and cannot be rushed, but also that life has a strange way of presenting new things that must be addressed. I hope that I do not have to slow down or halt development for any reason, but I will always keep a close eye on time.
Another risk is the scope of the project. I'm only one person, but having to do the coding, networking, art, animations, and community management, it will definitely get daunting. This will also go back to the idea of timeliness. I have made it a huge personal deal to myself to keep all goals and stretch goals within my realm of possibility.
