Some of you may be asking "What is a Sweded film?" A Sweded film is a shortened, fast paced, low-budget version of a popular movie.
Last year, I directed Sweded productions of "Return to Oz," "Night of the Living Dead," and "Alice in Wonderland." With your support, the Virginia Sweded Film Festival was a big success in both 2016 and 2017. With the Virginia Sweded Film Festival entering its third year, I want 2018 to be the best year yet. I am excited to announce that with your help I will be filming a remake of Roger Corman's "Little Shop of Horrors"!
Funding will help to pay for building materials such as chicken wire, school glue, hot glue, foam, elastic, and paint. It will also help pay for venue rental, scripts, applications, release forms, DVDs and posters.
Anyone who reserves "Little Shop of Horrors Sweded" on DVD will receive instant private access to watch last year's production of "Night of the Living Dead Sweded" online. You can also get your hands on exclusive DVDs that are only available through this Kickstarter campaign!
I'm thrilled to say we have already begun filming, and everything looks great so far! With your help, I can't wait to see the finished product!
Risks and challenges
This is a fun film with unique challenges! Seymour is at the mercy of a carnivorous plant that grows to a monstrous size. We will need to have a minimum of five killer Venus fly trap puppets!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
