About

The idea:
  This Project is driven by pure passion for a good mix of technology and rockets. I've always admired rockets, those big metal cylinders with fire blasting out their butt, and how they manage to fly. Therefore, I decided to create my own model rocket, but I thought those plain old model rockets were boring and not up to today’s standards with SpaceX and stuff. So, I got an idea, why not try to make a model rocket, with a built-in computer that controls and logs everything.

What do you mean?
  So basically, I had a few requirements for this rocket:
  ·         Obviously, it needs to be reusable.
  ·         Have a TVC (Thrust vectoring mount), so you can control the rocket.
  ·         A smart programmable flight computer, preferably Arduino based.
  ·         Bluetooth controlled, just because it’s cool.
  ·         Instruments like gyroscope and barometer.
  ·         Be able to log the data and make cool graphs.
  ·         Should be able to make into a kit to sell.
  ·         That’s about it

Why Kickstarter?
  I quickly realized that making such a rocket isn’t cheap. Therefore, I decided to turn to crowdfund. The money will be used for prototyping PCB’s and buying electronic and mechanical parts. Also, rocket motors aren’t cheap and I will need to use a lot of those before I get it right. Here is a list of things I can think of.
  ·         Software like MATLAB for simulation.
  ·         PCB design and production.
  ·         Electronic parts (Arduino, sensors, modules, etc.)
  ·         Rocket body and parachute.
  ·         3d printing filament.
  ·         Rocket motors and igniters.
  ·         Other stuff, like tools for soldering and so on.

  Your donation will help me a lot, and even a little donation gets me a long way in this process. In the end, I will hopefully have a fully working kit, which is ready to sell. The more donations, the more work, and effort I will be able to put into this project, and the sooner I will be done. I hope you will show your support to this project, otherwise, it’s totally cool if you just follow along from the sideline.

Risks and challenges

There really is not a big risk with this project, the only risk is that the project will be finished a little bit later than promised.
