Visiting the family
Hey United States of God-Des & She Citizens,
I am writing this update with my mom's wiener dog Homer hopelessly starring at me trying to understand what I am doing. I tried to explain it to him but I don't think he got it. Anywho, after a month of intense writing, recording, and mixing I came to surprise my mom in Dallas for her birthday. She was very surprised and a bit shocked that I wasn't her dog sitter ringing her doorbell. The weekend has been great and I went to the most stressful sports game of my LIFE this morning. My 9 year old niece is on a soccer team called the Pink Ladies (even though their uniforms are green this year) and she was playing in the championship. I mean seriously, the game was more exciting than the world cup. But sadly, they lost 8-6.
This break has been a needed one since I really haven't had a day off this month trying to finish everything. We are halfthrough the mixing and halfway through the campaign. I can honestly say that I feel more proud of this record than any other record we have done. One reason, is because I did beats for the first time. And another, is because there are a lot of powerful and needed issues that we wrote about. There are 14 songs on this record and I can't wait for you to hear them. I gotta run because my nieces and nephews are on their way over. Happy Saturday everyone and thanks for your continued support!
