Trails, roads, mountains and even slow rides with our kids. We spend more on our bikes than we do on our cars. When it comes to bikes, there's a solution for almost every rider and ride. Tyres range from the width of your finger, to the width of your face. Frames are all sorts of shapes and lightweight carbon lay-ups are not designed to be clamped. Securing you bike for the adventure is getting harder and harder. Over a year ago, we set ourselves a mission, to get our bike to the trailhead regardless of which bike we choose. We went back to first principles of design, back to the drawing board to search for a secure, fast and gentle solution. We wanted less hassle, more riding... and we did it!!
Stefan & Sean started this mission with a fantastic complement of skills and quickly enlisted/recruited some truly amazing people who have taken this project to another level. Collectively we have designed and implemented for Bentley, Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagon, Chevrolet, Buik, Holden, ARB, Nissan, Toyota, Vauxhall, Yarra Trams, NS Bikes and Antidote Bikes. In addition, we have delivered more than $1.1 billion dollars in capital and operational projects over the past decade for organisations such as Public Transport Victoria, Transdev, MTR, KD, Defense Materiel Organisation and Siemens.
Sean is passionate about all things on two wheels. His obsession with bikes is matched only by his love of challenging assumptions.
Stefan believes anything is possible with the right team, passion and mindset. His preoccupation with product perfection is never ending.
Waldek is an aerospace engineer with a passion for cars and mountain biking. His engineering team of 30 people serve the likes of BMW, Audi and Volkswagen. His favourite saying is "Impossible tasks right away. For miracles, you have to wait one day".
Igor is a bike-nut, off-roading enthusiast & problem solver. He's most at home with an ultra-powerful laptop, 4WD and a mountaintop for an office. No technical problem, workshop or late-night CAD session scares him.
Jurek is a mountain bike freak, designer and co-owner of Antidote Bikes. Designing and riding are the most important things in his life.
Troy has 25 years in the bike industry and an extreme passion for anything off-road. Attention to detail, loyalty and accountability in life and work are his trademarks.
A massive thank-you to the awesome people that helped us along this journey, answering a thousand questions and always with a smile.

Risks and challenges
This is our first venture at crowd funding or any kind of mass marketing activity. However the design, engineering and delivery realm is our playground. We have combined engineering experience across multiple industries, successful project planning and execution of billion dollar programmes and decades of success running businesses.
The Upside Rack is the result of almost two years’ design, iteration, refinement and testing. It is 100% manufacturable for testing compliance and in-use durability. It also comes with endorsement of senior industry professionals who have all recommended this as a premium offering, and demonstrating market changing innovation and design.
In sourcing manufacturers we have been merciless in engaging only companies within countries currently producing the absolute highest quality. This will mitigate as much delivery and product risk as possible. We have also selected suppliers that either we or trusted colleagues have had prior experience with.
However, every manufacturing project involves risks due to unforeseeable situations, potentially resulting in delays or finished product compromises. We have deep experience in managing such problems and have incorporated contingencies in our plan to compensate for this. However these risks will always remain to a degree. If absolutely necessary, we will sacrifice on delivery timeframe to ensure we achieve the best finished product quality.
If we ever have to resort to this, we will provide clear explanations as well as regular updates as to when you will have the finished product.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
