From Baltimore With Love brings together twenty Baltimore bands and musicians to support the Monument Quilt Tour. Embracing the theme of a summer road trip, 20 artists donated tracks to keep Force company on the road including Dan Deacon, Flock of Dimes, AK Slaughter, Soft Cat, Ami Dang, Abdu Ali, DDM and more. The mix is being released as a prize for The Monument Quilt Tour Kickstarter campaign!
From Baltimore with Love is a sampling of Force’s hometown Baltimore’s varied and vibrant music scene. For only $15, Kickstarter backers can enjoy the psych soul rock of Katrina Ford, feminist punk rock War on Women, cellist and political artist Paul Rucker, and composer and electronic musician Dan Deacon, to name a few. With an all around all star line up, the compilation spans the genres of hip hop, R&B, club, ambient, electronic, experimental, pop, punk and everything in-between.
“Baltimore has a culture of support. When we asked our community to contribute, every one was on board! We’re lucky to live in a city with so much talent and so much generosity,” says Brancato, Force co-director.
As experimental vocal, sitar and electronic musician Ami Dang puts it,
“I'm contributing to From Baltimore with Love to support The Monument Quilt because the project provides a way for survivors and their communities to heal together. Survivors need to know that their families and friends are on their side; they shouldn't feel isolated and shamed. The Monument Quilt gives communities clear steps to heal together. Furthermore, Force is a large part of a movement to address rape culture and help ordinary people understand that, in order to eradicate rape, we all need to talk about consent and understand the true meaning of consensual sex.”
When you get the From Baltimore With Love mixtape you will enjoy:

Singer/songwriter Lizz King, who creates catchy, cabaret pop songs with tongue-in-cheek lyrics, belted vocals, and stripped-down production.
Singer/songwriter and lead vocalist for psych soul rock band Celebration, Katrina Ford.
