About this project
WHO WE ARE
We're former film students of Brooks Institute of Photography, however our paths would not meet up again till years later. Each of us have always had a passion for the freedom that traveling and hosteling both have to offer. We are excited to finally have the time and knowledge to produce our first series, Hostel Territory. Please, watch our trailer above which has gathered significant buzz and interest from those who have seen it.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
Following a dream to bring hosteling into the mainstream, the host, Isaiah MacMenami, leads viewers on an entertaining adventure throughout Europe as he discovers what ‘hosteling’ is all about. From boats to prisons, castles to tree-houses, caves and the world’s only hostel built out of a decommissioned airplane, there’s no limit to where a hostel can be found. Isaiah’s mission is to guide viewers through a terrain that redefines the tourism industry.
WHAT WE GOT ALREADY
We have already shot over 20 hours worth of content for the pilot and the first few episodes. On-board sponsors for the show include: Jansport, Eurail, Hosteling International, HostelWorld.com, and Ekit, with more on the way. In fact, one of the ‘founding fathers’ of travel shows, Rick Steves, (author and creator of Europe Through The Backdoor) stated: “This is really funny...”
WHY WE NEED YOU
So, it’s up to you and your awesomeness to help to push the project forward!
We’ve come to Kickstarter to finish financing so that editing, post-production effects and pro-sound mixing can be completed for the pilot, as well as gather materials for press kits.
Once the final funding is secured, we will pitch Hostel Territory to television networks, through a management firm, with the aid of Peter Kaufman. Peter is one of the top entertainment attorneys in Los Angeles and he believes strongly in this series and is working on a ‘blended agreement’, (a reduced rate and a percentage once project is picked up).
So, do you think you have what it takes to travel in, Hostel Territory?
Have a question? If the info above doesn't help, you can ask the project creator directly.
