The Undercroft is a ~15,000 square foot facility that will house co-working/co-location space purpose built for the cybersecurity community. Located in a landmark building in historic Ybor City, our space will include 7 private offices, 12 dedicated desks, 2 conference rooms, 2 training/meetup bays, a courtyard, and multiple shared common areas. We also plan to add a multipurpose media studio. When complete, our facility will support and empower a diverse community of cybersecurity professionals, students, and enthusiasts. We want to organize and host a wide variety of events, classes, and workshops, and produce security focused content. Whether you are new to the industry or an industry veteran, you will be welcome here. The Undercroft will be the first facility of its kind bringing together industry leading technology companies, subject matter experts, startups, students, and talented practitioners. Our community has realized that when we come together, we can do so much more than we can separately.
When it comes to general business expenses we've got it covered. What we need your help with is building a media studio. We want our community to have a voice and a means to be able to share that voice with the world through video and podcast production, product and software demo capability, live streaming of capture the flag events, and member led cybersecurity workshops. We belive that the general public would also benefit from the completion of our studio. We would be able to offer low cost rental rates to the general public looking for a way and means to be able to express themselves creatively.
Because we have gotten such amazing support from all of our backers it's time to take this project to the next level. There is still a lot of work to be done and more resources needed to complete our quest to build a Cybersecurity Hub here in Ybor City, Tampa

Producing cybersecurity related content is such an important goal for us long term. Through videos and live events we will be able to inform the community of potential risks, fixes, and ways to fight back against cyber criminals that wish them harm. Your donations will help our members produce content that they feel will benefit the community in a positive way.
The ability to host and live stream cybersecurity events and conferences is a huge benefit to the community. Conferences are a great place for people who are looking to join the industry, to network and receive information on potential jobs or information on furthering their education. It's fantasic for security practitioners to collaborate on ideas and industry methods that help us combat the growing threat to our safety and the security of our country.
Your pledge will allow us to build out our media studio with the requisite equipment to support member driven cybersecurity meetups, workshops and podcasts. Teach members how to produce, shoot, and edit cybersecurity awareness videos. Help member backed startups record product and platform demos. Stream live classes and meetups to extend our reach in the region. Here is a list of just some of the critically needed items:
- Computers for Editing Bay
- Theater Style Seating
- Conference Table
- Collaboration Pods
- AV Projector
- Webcasting Station
- Green and White Screen
- Lighting Equipment
- Video Cameras

In addition to finishing our media studio, we want to enhance our primary collaboration lab (maker/hackerspace). Your contributions will also provide needed resources for us to provide experiential learning for students in the local community,
Our primary collaboration lab will be outfitted with a wide range of technology and tools for our members to disassemble, build, break, and learn. Here is a list of just some of the needed items:
- Benching and Seating

With your help and along with the help of our members, residents and partners, we plan to build a community Sandbox environment where our members can launch, test, and study dangerous malware without risk of infecting their own devices or putting our standard network at risk.
Industry supporters have already donated racks, servers, and other equipment and seek to make this a community project that will provide valuable hands on experience to our members as well as create a shared resource to help the community keep pace with the ever-evolving cyber threat.
We are taking a bottom up approach to increasing the cybersecurity posture of the Tampa Bay region. It starts here in the community with the people who are security practitioners engaging with those who want to learn. It starts here with small to medium size business who have just as much a need for security as larger organizations.

Risks and challenges
We have donated or co-located equipment, which may break and need servicing. We have reserve funds to service equipment, but this may cause a delay in fulfillment. We have a small but amazing team. In addition to supporting our operations and performing some of the renovation work, they will fulfill and ship back gifts. Due to schedules and operational needs, some delays may occur.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
