About

What is Stumble!?

A racing game! Kind of…

There’s no cars, no bikes, not even speedy, coordinated movement. Instead there’s a single taxi. And also the 12 drinks you just downed. And also up to 5 other players trying to shove you down and get to the taxi first.

Introducing Stumble!, A racing game where you can’t even stay on your feet. One would think you’d just call an Uber, but instead you crash through tables, cripple your opponents, and fall on your face. A lot.

So why would you purchase this game? Let me ask you a question, do you like fun? If you answered “yes,” this game is perfect for you! Do you like games about punching your friends and causing massive property damage to local establishments? Me too!

Stumble is a board game for 2-6 players where your main objective is to cross the bar and signal the taxi. It seems simple, but maybe not easy. Tables provide a maze for you to navigate, and any failures, well, you’ll pay for that later. On top of that, up to 5 players seem to have the same idea as you.

All in all this will be fun.

  View the rules here.

Pick 2 cards at the end of your turn, at the beginning of your next turn you may stumble in one of those two directions. The move cards are color coded to the wood meeples which will tell you at a glance if your patron is standing or sprawling.

What you’re getting with Stumble!

First off you’re supporting an independent developer. This is my first game. I’ve had massive support up to this point, and I’d highly appreciate any support going forward. Purchasing this game will be absolutely momentous.

Secondly, you get a game! (duh) This game is complete with:

  • 6 Player Tokens! (That’s you!)
  • 25 Action Cards!
  • 30 Movement Cards!
  • 20 Tables!
  • 2 Maps!
  • And your very own Box! (Imagination!)
You'll have three action cards drawn randomly at the beginning of the game they can turn the tide of progress. Use them wisely.

Maps are still a work in progress, but everything you need to play will fit in a pocketable box.

About the author

Ash Moss is a high school senior graduating in the class of 2019. He came up with the idea to create Stumble! when he failed to take a class project seriously enough. For a year he play tested this game before figuring out that Stumble! was more fun than his pet project. Ash dreams of making a living off his own creativity, but it’s not like that’s going to happen.

Special thanks to Brice Moss, who supported the project from the beginning; Bethany Hover, for helping even when she didn’t understand; Aaron Donogh for invaluable advice; and Dan Vannelli for letting us come back to his store.

Risks and challenges

This is our first attempt to publish something, But we have received quotes from multiple suppliers for the finalized game and added worse case shipping to set our goal very near the break even point. From Dad's side this is a sending off present for his younger child. He'll make sure the rewards get delivered, before he gives up his day job to pursue the dreams that have taken a backseat to being dad. The big challenge is getting the word spread wide and loud so that we can bring a little wholesome fun to others.
