Thank you so much for taking the time to look over our project. It really does mean the world to us.
Have you ever told your partner a little white lie so that you wouldn't offend them?
Ever compromise what you really want in order to avoid a fight with your partner?
Ever drink nothing but Lemon Juice and Maple Syrup for 10 days?
If you have answered "yes" to any of these questions then we have a story for you!!!
The Master Cleanse:
The Master Cleanse is a story about honesty and how much is too much. It follows Kelly and Scott, a normal couple who tell the occasional white lie to each other and make compromises to keep the relationship afloat.
Together they decide to try a fad diet called "The Master Cleanse" which is a 10 day fast where you only drink a concoction of lemon juice, water, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. After a few days the body will break down the fat in your body releasing the toxins that have built up.
What that diet doesn't advertise is that if a person goes 10 days without food then they become really irritable. So irritable that they may not sugar coat their comments or actions anymore. Scott tells Kelly that her morning breath stinks and he "cant take it anymore."
Kelly tells Scott that she secretly has sex dreams about her ex. Scott responds: “know how I tell you you look more beautiful without make up? That’s a lie.” Kelly responds: “The only thing keeping me in this relationship is the memory that dating sucks.”
If any of these secret fears, resentments or brutal truths sound familiar to you than Master Cleanse is your kinda movie. Funny, honest, romantic and challenging.
Will Kelly and Scott's relationship be able to make it all 10 days or will the cleanse clear everything that was good out of it?

You may have seen some of our past work on the internet:
We make all of the shorts for fun and to stay creative. We have never had a big budget and therefor we never have a lot of time to take a step back and really shoot the way we would like to.
So.... we are coming to Kickstarter. We want to shoot for 4 days instead of 14 hours. We want to try and pay for a location instead of shooting at my "grandmother's house" (again). We would like to pay for lunch at Subway instead of having my girlfriend make hot dogs... you get it.
We really appreciate your time and support!!!
