About this project
A Virtual Museum - Bringing The History of Hip Hop To All Mobile Devices Worldwide.
The Universal Hip Hop museum is dedicated to the preservation, protection and advancement of Hip Hop Culture. The first fully interactive museum designed for mobile devices. The UHHM is supported by Hip Hop legends Kurtis Blow, Afrika Bambaataa, Krayzie Bone, Ice T, Q Tip, Doug E. Fresh, Grandmaster Flash, MC Sha Rock and other luminaries from Hip Hop's 5 core elements.
We are seeking $75,000.00 to complete the design and engineering of the world's first mobile device powered virtual museum, to preserve, document, and guide the future of the world's most popular art form - Hip Hop! Your support will fund the creation of an advanced virtual museum for cultural arts, education, and entertainment!
Your gift of membership makes the critical difference in our ability to carry out our mission to support, preserve and forward the evolution of Hip Hop culture. Join us today as a partner in ensuring the vitality of this global treasure—Hip Hop.
The UHHM offers multi-generational audiences worldwide access to an immersive cultural art form, education, and entertainment experience not found anywhere online or offline. The UHHM provides a comprehensive study of the culture's past, present, and future via all mobile platforms. The museum's mobile framework and future brick and mortar facility will provide our patrons with a comprehensive analysis and study of Hip-Hop culture's evolution, with immersive stories about the people, places, and events that led to Hip-Hop's global popularity. The mobile platform designed by Carnevale Interactive allows the museum's patrons to take virtual tours of historic studios, clubs, neighborhoods, and landmarks while navigating seamlessly through 2D and 3D exhibitions, also allowing community participation via multiple social networking gateways. Full absorption by our patrons into the culture and its history with engaging interactive modules for the purpose of teaching, inspiring, and entertainment...edutainment fun for all.
Help Fund The Museum of The Future To Ensure Hip Hop's History Is Preserved
The virtual museum gives patrons access to the finest collection of artifacts, photography, artwork, research information, music and video content ever assembled. The UHHM in partnership with Framestore VR has already produced the world's first fully immersive VR concept for Hip-Hop culture. The recently launched The Kurtis Blow VR Experience designed for Google Cardboard is available for Android users on the Google Play Store. Field test marketing of the museum's first full immersive experience this past summer garnered rave reviews! As a result, the UHHM recognizes the widespread enthusiasm that the public will have for more immersive virtual reality exhibits.
With virtual and augmented reality technology set to change the way education is delivered to students, and how the general public is engaged, the virtual museum's use of VR and AR technology is positioned to lead the way forward with innovative cultural arts programming that will disrupt the current museum experience. The virtual museum allows students to go on immersive tours of iconic places curated by Hip-Hop's biggest stars! Future augmented reality exhibits produced for the virtual museum allows patrons to re-live Hip Hop history with multi-dimensional views that have never been possible before.
The virtual museum's mobile platform gives fans of Hip Hop rare access to the museum's archives, collections and galleries from anywhere in the world at any time of the day.
Students who browse the museum's digital timelines or immerse themselves in VR/AR exhibits will benefit from interactive educational programming that helps them fully absorb the History of Hip Hop Culture. The in-depth learning experience that students gain from the virtual museum immersive exhibits is sensational. The traditional “Victorian” museum model is a thing of the past. Patrons of the arts seek new immersive experiences with engaging content and the UHHM virtual museum delivers like none other.
The UHHM virtual museum platform is at the forefront of this technological advancement and will change the game of curating cultural arts exhibits.
Combining Social Networking with Museum Curation
The design of the UHHM's virtual museum combines social media technology with mobile application exhibit design creating a unique interactive experience. The advanced community features enable patrons to share seminal moments in Hip-Hop history with their friends and other patrons of the museum, as they view the museum exhibits, galleries, and virtual tours or when they are watching video content or just enjoying soundtracks. As soon as patrons from around the world enter the virtual museum's exhibit halls, they can begin sharing their experience with other who are viewing the same presentation or immersed in other rooms or gallery spaces of the museum. The virtual museum is a global social network for fans that merges virtual reality experiences with the world's top social networking platforms . It's a new way to build community engagement within a museum experience!
