A heartfelt thank you to all who have pledged to back this project! While Farmer Todd and the volunteers do a fantastic job growing such magnificent produce, storage is a very important element of this work. The new space is really suitable for UACC, but it is hot. Cold storage would really assure so much more of the harvest gets to where it needs to go, and will help us to show other producers how they too can create an efficient, low cost cooler!

Thank you, Transition Cville for posting, and to sooo many others who are spreading the word (after UACC folks have been spreading the compost)!

Having been blessed to be a part of QCC Farms! and now the UACC, I am thrilled to know folks are supporting this great cause, to help provide folks with fresh, organic produce during the growing season. I love gardening - or just talking - with my UACC people.

I gotta note - our gardens take up less than an acre of land, right smack in neighborhoods that might be classified as "low income" - and we have very little theft. The work of Karen Waters Wicks, Todd Niemeier and others to build trust and respect is one of the most nourishing aspects of this work... Help us reach (and surpass) the goal in 144 more hours!
