VU Pulse Update

Dear Backers,

As promised we are trying to keep you updated as to the status of the Vu Pulse. At this time we are still working with the factories to determine how fast we can get the new components we need to go back into production. As soon as we get an honest response from them we will give you an updated timeline. Please be assured that we are doing everything to can to resolve the issue as fast as possible and will provide you with the new timeline the moment we get it. As previously mentioned, you do have the option of a full refund or you can choose to wait until we have confirmation of the new timeline before making your decision. Again, we really appreciate your patience while we attempt to resolve the chip issue.

      Thanks for keeping us updated, as the Pebble Time 2 is now happening, I'm suddenly looking forward to this again (I'd never have canceled, I backed it knowing that the world doesn't stand still, and all good things take time), as it will keep my old Pebble awesome :-)

      I must admit that I'm a little bit confused.
      As a backer on kickstarter, we are not shopping something that you could simply pick up off the shelf and send us asap. I'm fully aware that I'm supporting a technological project, with all its risks, and among them the possibility of delay. It seems that a lot of people here have forgotten this.
      Your refund proposal is very generous and personnaly, I will refuse it and continue to support you. But having seen all this refund demands, I'm worrying that you could not carry out this project, due to lack of financing. Moreover, by offering a refund, you could introduce a doubt on your trust in your product.
      So can you give some garantees that you will continue de development of the product whatever will be the number of persons who want refund?
      In my humble opinion, it would have been fairer that you offer a total or partial refund to all the backers, should you not be able to deliver. In this way, everybody has to endorse his part of risks and this is more aligned with the kickstarter philosophy.
      Can you please clarify this point in another actu?

      I think this new commitment to keeping the promise of weekly updates, even when there's no good news, is a good sign. I'm reassured in my decision to stay on with the project. I hope this continues.

      I'm trying to cancel my order and get my refund, as promised.
      I've messaged and been ignored.
      I understand you must be busy, what with the flood of cancellations, but please confirm my request and (more importantly) process my refund immediately!
      Considering the difficulty I, and seemingly others, have had in sending you a private message, perhaps detailed instructions on HOW to send a message requesting the promised refund would also be in order???

      I used to work for an importer, so I know exactly what this means. We had this issue with factories more times than I could count. "No really we'll ship next week, for real this time!" but you can't actually believe it until you get the bill of lading. I do not miss that part of the job! It sucks to basically be powerless while a vendor refuses to do what they promised.
