New rewards, the coming 48 hours and a status update
Hi All of you,
There is so much to do and only so many hours in a day ;) So, we're running behind which isn't that much of an surprise all things considered. It doesn't really change anything in terms of the delivery which will still be done next month, but the beta testing for the website has been shifted a couple of weeks. All backers will still be invited for the testing prior to going live, so no worries there.
We of course would have liked to show off some more different cases during the campaign, but due to the holidays and time pressure we have only managed to do a limited amount of them. We still have a long list to go though and also another two product lines which will be done in the next coming weeks.
Today we can let you see a new SliceCase, the SliceCase for the Micro Python, which has been added as a new reward as well.
It's a neat little thing which posed that challenge that it didn't have any holes for screws. We solved this with the double wall system that the SliceCase has and it worked out beautifully.
Max inner dimensions: 41w * 56d * 12h mm
Square inner dimensions: 25w * 40d * 12h mm
Outer dimensions: 54w * 66d * 18h mm
New cases being built right now
We currently have two boards in the pipeline to be designed and built:
These will be built as soon as possible.
Other that have accepted that we're waiting for
As you know we're still trying to get in contact with lots of product manufacturers. The list of open contacts as it stands now is:
- Adafruit LED Matrix , arLCD, BE Maker, Cubietruck, DigiX, Gameduino 2, MicroDuino , NUC, PandaBoard ES, Pololu Micro Maestro , Red Pitaya, RFDuino, RPiCamera, Sparkfun MP3 trigger, UDOO .
We will continue to try to build a partnership with these and other manufacturers. More SliceCase product lines will be added as we go along, all depending on who sends us samples.
So far we've had lots of positive responses from manufacturers and from the list of 37 contacted ones, there are only two who has decided not to join.
The last 48 hours
That the Kickstarter campaign has been a success isn't even a question any more. What has surprised us is that a lot of you have decided to back more than one reward, which is super! The process of backing more than one is of course not the best, but it works.
In total we've now got well over 225 SliceCase sold (thanks to all the double backers). And with the latest new reward we're excited to see exactly how these last 48 hours will develop.
One thing is for sure - it's a wild ride! Lot's of good new contacts with you and lot's of good feedback ;)
