Hello Illimat backers & friends!

We wanted to give you an update on what we're been up to for Illimat in the past six months as well as let you know about the upcoming release of the Illimat Victory Book

Illimat Victory Book

What is it? The Illimat Victory book is a small pocket sized soft covered notebook in which to track epic wins, your progress through society ranks, and a reference to the most important rules variants currently available. We took the last few months to incorporate what we've learned about how people play the game and what they want to see in it to make it special. The booklets are being printed in Portland, Oregon by Scout Books who are not only wonderful printers but fans of Illimat and fellow Kickstarter backers. We're currently working on a way to provide each backer with a coupon code to redeem it for themselves. We'll provide details on how to get one in our next update (about 4-6 weeks from now) when the books are in our warehouse and ready to ship.

Getting Illimat Out Into the World

The major focus of the last six months is been getting Illimat out into the wider world. We believe this game is a gateway into modern gaming with classic appeal. But as a tiny company with a unique product this has been hard work—though it's been made easier because you as backers have played the game and told your friends about it. Thanks to all this collective work, we burned through our first printing of Illimat AND the expansion. Currently we're well through our second printing. We set up distribution that allows us to sell to hobby game stores, in the US, UK, EU, Canada, and Australia as well as direct wholesale sales through twogetherstudios.com for other types of retailers.

What's Next?

For Illimat, we continue to work daily to spread the word—we want to be on holiday gift lists and make it easier for people to learn and find fellow players. We've got lots of plans in the works, and we're always accepting ideas! We'd love it if you followed us on twitter or instagram so you're in the know about giveaways, new video tutorials, and other fun Society of Luminaries happenings. Currently, our Knight of Summer tote is on sale this week! As far as future expansions- we have a set of luminary cards in test mode and we'll be working on seeing if an expansion in 2019 is in the cards. Follow us on social media or join our mailing list so that you are in the know if it happens.

We'll check in once again with an update when the Victory Book is in our warehouses and ready to ship.

Thank you for your support and making Illimat happen!

Cheers!

Jenn & Keith

Hello @Mondo & @Jason...Just to be clear- We don't have a specific plan for an expansion yet but we'll see how things pan out in 2019. Replacement decks are a also a possibility for the future as well. We encourage you all to continue to be vocal on things you would like!
The pilot (trial) program for local chapters taught us that having more ways to teach people how to play is the most important- it's kind of like " trickle down" theory in that the more people who know about the game and know how to play- the more of a local community you can have for it. So we have lots cooking in the background on that. Ideally, chapters would run without direct support from us - but we'd love to hear ways we can encourage them and Its AWESOME to hear about CT!

Excellent newsletter. I was hoping there would be more info on SOL club support. How is that coming along? The Connecticut chapter has a pretty solid core players. We usually have 2 sometimes 3 games going at once

I second the vote for a way to buy more cards. Mine are getting damaged by use and they are so beautiful that I want to buy multiple sets. I am very excited about the expansion being worked on. Are we allowed to ask for hints at what songs or album the luminaries are from?

Thank you. I had no notice that my information was missing until August 13th. I supplied the information the same day. 3 weeks later you are still saying that you don't have the information and the product still wasn't in shipping process? Thank you for the refund. When the game comes to market, I hope that I can be in a position to purchase it. Looks like fun but the money is more important after my setbacks at the moment.

Hi @1soni - you were among the handful of people who did not respond to request for their address and to confirm your pledge. We're happy to refund your pledge minus 10% fees that Kickstarter charges us. All the best- Jenn
