Once the app knows where your LEDs are placed you can begin to create more complex lighting patterns and effects never before seen on any Xmas tree!

Our software engineers are committed to make it happen for December! As we received lots of requests on this feature, we are already at work on "soft chainability": just like having one virtual device with the sum of the number of LEDs of each physical Twinkly, so that you can have 3 x 100 = 300 LEDs virtual Twinkly. The functionality will be easily released through a simple app update, no changes required.

Risks and challenges
Twinkly is intrinsically multifaceted, with many hardware, software, design, production and logistic tasks, to name a few, each of them interrelated. Strong specialized skills and good overall project management are both needed. It helps that the founders all come from previous successful entrepreneurial experiences and have built a core team in-sourcing or out-sourcing all the perceived key requirements.
