Tvylor Wallets v2.0
With the overwhelming success of this Kickstarter campaign we’re excited to announce a second product. We’ve listened to all the feedback and the features you liked from the original design and made our take on the classic bi-fold. With stylish design and quality craftsmanship this is not your dad’s bi-fold, we made sure even George Costanza would be able to fit his cards and receipts in there.
Using our top quality vegetable-tanned leather for the exterior, as you unfold it you’ll see 100% wool lining, compartment for bank notes and receipts and six card slots. This is a classic look that will never go out of style. It may not be the thinnest or lightest wallet, but damn it’s good looking.
This wallet will retail for $85 and as a Kickstarter exclusive we’ll be starting it at $40.
We would like to focus on the fact that these wallets are completed. They are currently in use through the first production run. This is not just an idea, we are working to scale our manufacturing and get these into the hands of early adopters around the world who are ready to have their security taken seriously. These wallets will be in your back pockets in the coming weeks after the campaign, and not many months from now. We are very excited to present Tvylor Wallets and welcome our backers to a new kind of secure wallet.
Almost every card you carry in your wallet now includes RF (radio frequency) this includes: debit/credit cards, drivers license and other forms of government issued ID.
When they come into contact with radio waves they send a slightly altered signal, the response can contact encoded personal information such as: your name, address, social insurance number, phone number, credit card data, etc.
We took top quality leather and embedded a custom polyblend of RFID blocking lining to keep everything in your wallet secure. Now you can have a stylish wallet that does more than just pay bills.
Risks and challenges
If you've read this far - thank you.
The money: The reason we're raising money and not just using our own or taking a loan from the bank is because the community (all of you + your friends/family) are the reason we created this product. We wanted to give you a chance to support the brand from day 1. We will be using the funds to cover the costs of manufacturing. Having each wallet made by hand and using the best materials isn't cheap, but in order to scale this operation we need some funds to get this off the ground. We already have ~200 wallets made and ready to ship (to the early backers) but as the money comes in we'll start ramping up operations and we'll have every wallet shipped out before the end of May.
Aside from that we don't really foresee any risks, we already have a finished product created and we can scale it to a couple hundred wallets, we just need some help to take it to the next level. Within the next 6 months we'll be expanding to include a passport wallet and a female wallet, both incorporating the same RFID blocking polyblend we created.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
