Help the Acro-Cats afford a new tour bus!!! After a lot of miles bringing smiles to our fans and passers-by, our current RV has seen more repair shops than venues and it's time to retire it. The Acro-Cats still have so many new cities to visit and so many fans who want to see us again.
The only solution is a new tour bus.
The cats and their humans have been scratching and saving but there just isn't enough in the kitty to cover a proper bus...one that these wonderful cats truly deserve while zig-zagging across the states. Our dream is to provide:
- A lush, plush, safe, and stimulating environment for the cats
- Everything from built-in perches, posts, catwalks, and toys
- Even a nursery for our foster kittens.
And you can help!!!
Since the Amazing Acro-Cats do spend a lot of time on the road, their comfort and happiness is always the top priority. We plan to custom build a bus for the cats from inside out and bottom up.
Bigger, better, fuzzier...A Party Bus for Cats!
Meet Samantha Martin and her entourage of trained, domestic cats...The Amazing Acro-cats! These cool cats have been packing in the crowds as they set out to disprove the notion that "cats can't be trained".
These fantastic felines push carts, ride skateboards, roll barrels, ring bells, turn on lights, walk tight ropes, jump through hoops and much much more!
For our 'paw'some finale, we bring out the Rock-Cats who perform live music...
Yes, real cats with real instruments.
The show was created about 7 years ago and over the last 3 years our act has been touring around the country. We use our show as an entertaining demonstration of what cats are really capable of, as well as the healthy benefits of clicker training...A training method that revolves around positive reinforcement only. By training your own feline, many behavioral problems can be prevented while also providing physical exercise and mental stimulation...Plus it's a great way to spend some quality time with your kitty.
Countless times we've been approached after the show and told, "I had no idea you can train cats!" and, "This show is the greatest thing I've ever seen!" We want to continue bringing this level of joy to cities throughout the U.S. and eventually the whole continent. We want to share the fun we have interacting with our cats and show that it's possible and easy for anyone to establish this bond. We love seeing the looks on people's faces the moment they realize that cats are not the aloof, disinterested companions people believe them to be.
Even more exciting is the experience of doing something good for cats. Our troupe is comprised of mainly orphans, rescues and strays. For over three years now, we've been bringing homeless kittens on the road with us and finding them good homes throughout the country. In that time, we've found homes for nearly 100 cats and kittens. Part of the plan for our new tour bus is to construct a permanent nursery/foster area for our continuing work, so even more little kittens will have the chance at a forever home.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to carry on with our work, our message and our show without new transportation. With your help--and every little bit helps!--we can visit more cities in more states and show more people what cats are capable of. Plus continue to save as many lives as we can accommodate. We're happy to offer a bunch of great rewards to everyone who's able to help us continue this work we're so proud of. The more we have donated to the cause, the more awesome their party bus will be!
Tuna and the rest of our troupe thank you!
On August 30, 2012...Pinky our beloved guitar playing kitty, lost her battle with breast cancer. This project is dedicated to her memory.
