The Battle with the Time Lords...continues.
Hello again (or em hotep), my beautiful backers!
One of our premier backers reminds me that I need to send you an update. And yes, it is definitely past time for that! (I promise. No more time jokes.)
Back in Update 28, I let you know about a potential new source for calendrical data I hadn't realized was quite so extensive before: a listing of deities for every single day of the year, well documented within the individual entries of the massive (and ominous sounding) Lexicon der Aegyptischen Goetter und Goetterbezeichnungen. The German word for these deities is Chronokrat(en), which translates into English as "Time Lord(s)," more or less.
One would hope that getting all the Time Lords together would be like this:
Instead, it's been more like this.
The Lexicon is in seven volumes, and here is an example of what any individual page might look like, from the editor's website. Right in the center of the third page there, in the golden colored box, you will see that a form of Osiris called by the epithet Ir-renef-djesef (meaning "He Who Saves His Name"), is the Time Lord of II Peret 11.
The individual entries are buried in the larger entries, so they are not easily found on the pages of these documents. Each reference for a Time Lord can be buried in pages that can run up to 50 deity entries per page in some cases. And there are approximately 6,400 pages of the Lexicon to read through, in highly technical German in a tiny typeface set three columns to a page. Google Books also shows some of the Lexicon pages, if you want to see why I'm going blind - er, why this is taking so long to compile.
From the time right before Wep Ronpet when you suggested I should go after the Time Lords and add them to the Daybook's database, I have completed the referencing of four of the seven volumes, and am currently about 200 pages into the fifth. This requires me to read every single page to find the references, then note them, then continue, and it is not a quick process, even though my German is good (and it's improving as I continue).

I didn't do them in order, because I didn't discover the Time Lord/Chronokrat connection in the first volume, so some volumes are longer than others or contain more references than others. The current volume, comprising deities whose names begin with "n," is coming up with hundreds of Time Lords just in the first few pages, because of the large number of epithets beginning with Lord of (neb) or Lady of (nebet). It's going about a third of the speed of the previous volume, which is to say, much slower, though the remaining two books after that should not be quite this full of references.
TL;DR - I'm about 65% done with the Time Lords collation, and then I can finish putting the Daybook together and get it out. I am trying to complete this in October and shoot for a November release. I appreciate your patience and promise that there is so much new information it's practically a new book from what we originally had. I think you will enjoy it and I cannot wait to show it to you.

I don't suppose we'll get the calendar in time to mail it for Christmas...?

As a backer who's enthusiastic to see the end result, thank you for the update. I've witnessed other KS projects with a lack of honesty, integrity or ability to deliver. I have faith yours *will* deliver. :)
