Hey there – we’re Trusst Lingerie.
And we’ve been working around the clock for over a year to bring you a new type of bra support, catered for larger cup sizes. Who are we? We're Carnegie Mellon industrial designers and engineers, and currently part of a hardware accelerator called Alpha Lab Gear located in Pittsburgh, PA.
We know what you’re thinking: and no, we’re not just another lingerie company. We’re designing from a functional standpoint, because we understand that real women - with real bodies - deserve to be taken care of. Don't get us wrong - we love beauty as much as the next woman. But we also love physics and problem solving. We’re here to present you with a completely new view of lingerie.
Any larger busted woman will tell you that it's close to impossible to find an attractive bra that fits her well. Pair that with a bra that DOESN'T create deep shoulder grooves or have underwires digging into her body from the weight of her bust...and we've got a real situation on our chest...literally. As larger busted women ourselves, we understand the perpetual frustration of finding the perfect bra.
We removed underwire from the equation, broke out our 3D printer, and started prototyping. This was easy - we tested it on ourselves. We were also fortunate to have a group of women who were ecstatic to help us out. Since then, we've had over 100 women come in to test and try out our new system. And guess what? They love it.
Our new, patent-pending design supports the weight of your breast from underneath, removing the burden on your shoulder straps and refocusing the support around the core of your body where your strongest muscles are. In it's simplest form, we've developed a system (a truss - get it?) that creates lift.
Good question! We're getting really close. We've selected high quality, beautiful fabrics and created sophisticated patterns. We’ve designed a structure that spans 42 sizes and provides support for up to 80% of your breast weight. Now we need that push to get our bras out to all of you. Launching a new technology isn't easy, but with your help, we can move forward into production on our first run of products. There are so many women out there who have been suffering from ill-fitting, un-supportive bras, and we are SO excited to revolutionize the way you think and feel about your lingerie.
We know that every bra brand fits a little differently, which is why we ask that you follow our metrics to determine your Trusst bra size. We are using an American sizing system – no double or triple letters. Our support structure has been designed around a volumetric system, so your Trusst bra size might be different than the current bra size you’re wearing. Before buying, make sure you double check with our size calculator.
What do you get from our giving us money? Well, there are a lot of options off to the right of the page. However, if you are not a larger busted woman, but still want to donate the amount of a bra - we've got you covered. We've partnered up with a local organization that is more than willing and excited to help us provide bras to women in need. So give us the word - we'll send off your bra to a good home.
"I wore a Trusst bra for a day and felt so uplifted! The bra was so supportive - it immediately improved my posture but never chafed. I cannot wait to buy one!"
"It is a most welcome and wonderful addition to those of us with VERY ample breasts. Where were you before my poor shoulders became permanently dented?! "
"A thousand thank you's for launching the business I have been waiting for all my adult life! I have felt completely UN-served by what's on the market."
"The support and the comfort were really good. The bra held me up better than any other bra I've experienced."
