After our debut album "Visceral" was released in 2011, we began picking up momentum and gaining a nationwide fan base in the United States. We completed two nationwide tours as opening, support, and direct support for bands such as Shadows Fall, God Forbid, Fear Factory, and Thy Will Be Done. After returning home from the "Party To The Apocalypse Tour" in November 2012 we began writing new music. We are now more excited than ever, with high hopes of furthering our momentum by recording and releasing our sophomore album. Every member of this band has lost at least one and in some cases multiple jobs to tour and continue to pursue our greatest passion. That being the case, money is extremely tight and recording good music isn't cheap. We have explored options all over the country and found that 3/4 of the album can be completed ourselves. The remaining 1/4 needs to be done in a studio before we can pour ourselves into finishing it to share with the world. We sincerely believe that we have grown individually as musicians and as a band, which makes us feel that this is the best music we have written yet. It fully encompasses the vast dynamics that is Trumpet The Harlot. We want to take this to the next level, and are asking for your help to reach that goal.
The drums will be tracked in a great studio with a talented engineer in Lincoln Nebraska beginning July 13th. After the completion of the drum tracking there, the band will return to Virginia and finish the remainder of the album at our own hand.
Risks and challenges
A national tour is the only thing that could jump out and slow the process down once it's funded. That said, the album is a priority and we would get it completed regardless.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
