Truffle Pig is the culmination of three years of study by 15 students of the Documentary Photography course in South Wales, informed by the past decades of influential legacies led by both staff and alumni alike.
We have planned an ambitious and exciting exhibition to take place from the 20th-22nd of June, at the Safehouses in Peckham. The work on show is diverse in all possible ways; geographically ranging from Malaysia to Northern Ireland and to the edge of the Arctic Circle, addressing issues ranging from the political, the personal and the societal. The shared similarity in all of this being that just like the pig digging around in the earth for the revered truffle, we have pushed ourselves to look deeper; to create innovative photographic works that explore and investigate many facets of our complex, contemporary world.
In order to share our work in the kind of innovative and inclusive manner that reflects the variety of students and work on display, as well as to celebrate the three years of hard work put into our studies - we need your help.
All donations will go directly towards the various materials needed to produce a photographic exhibition of the quality our work deserves and needs, in order to be taken seriously and recognised for its merit in the wider professional photographic industry. It is our hope that exposure from this show will be pivotal in gaining each individual the exposure, and consequential opportunities that arise from it, needed to act as the foundations for their future. Therefore, any sum of money you could donate, big or small, would be met with a huge amount of gratitude.
Thank you for your time and support,
